(Minghui.org) Greetings, Master! Greetings, fellow practitioners!

I’m very thankful for the annual China Fahui (Experience Sharing Conference). Even though we don’t know each other, practitioners in China are able to connect through these sharing articles, identify our cultivation gaps, and improve together. We are inspired by the righteous thoughts and righteous actions of other practitioners.

During the 21st China Fahui, I would like to tell you how we worked together to rescue practitioners who were illegally detained in my area.

Big Changes in One Month

Min had a graduate degree and taught at a renowned university in my city. After he began practicing Falun Dafa, he experienced positive changes, mentally and physically, and cultivated diligently. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Dafa in 1999, Min told people the facts about Dafa and the persecution. As a result, he was detained several times and tortured in forced labor camps, brainwashing centers, and prisons.

Min was arrested and sent to a detention center in the city where his parents lived, but they were not allowed to visit him. He was repeatedly tortured. One night when he used the toilet Min fell, injured his leg, and couldn’t get up.

The guard and the head inmate said he was pretending to be injured and told two inmates to take turns stomping on his leg. Min fainted from the pain. Despite his injuries, the guards refused to get him any medical treatment and said he was pretending to be injured. After Min was unable to move for several days, the guards took him to the prison hospital in order to shirk their responsibility. A doctor operated on him and inserted steel pins in his leg—but it was too late and Min was disabled. He was sentenced to a four-year term prison term.

We created a rescue team and went to Min’s parents’ home on Chinese New Year. Their son had been persecuted repeatedly, and the old couple was under a great deal of stress. Min’s father was only 60, but he staggered when he walked and looked like he was in his 80s.

We rented a vehicle that could accommodate 11 people and visited Min. His parents and three practitioners went in to see him while the other practitioners waited outside and sent righteous thoughts.

The prison was located on a mountain, and we could feel the harsh environment as soon as we walked in. The guards were fierce. We asked Master for help and sent forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the vicious elements behind the guards. About half an hour later, Min slowly limped out from an underground tunnel. Wearing thin clothing, he was followed by a guard. She knew Min did not know us, so his mother said, “Min, your aunt and uncle are here to visit you.”

After Min walked into the office, I could see him clearly. Even though he wasn’t yet 30 years old, he looked like he was in his 50s because he’d been repeatedly detained and tortured. His face was pale and haggard, and he kept his eyes on the guard. He trembled and did not move or speak. I asked him to sit down, but he did not dare; his parents offered him the food they brought, but he dared not eat. This included some boiled eggs since his birthday was only a few days away.

I was very sad and almost wept. I sent forth strong righteous thoughts so the guards would leave. After a while, a guard’s cell phone rang and he left. Only one guard, Zhang, stayed. In addition to telling him about Falun Dafa, I asked him about Min’s situation and said I hoped he and the other officers would treat practitioners well. At first, Zhang refused to listen and said he wasn’t responsible for Min’s injuries. I pointed out that, since the prison admitted Min despite his injury, the prison officials would be held accountable. Zhang said he would report Min’s medical needs to the prison officials.

Min’s righteous thoughts were strengthened, and he began to eat and finished the food his parents brought, including the eggs.

Three of us practitioners and Min’s parents visited him again a month later. We were taken to the same office and Min limped out from the same underground tunnel. But this time he was smiling and looked like he had a little energy. As soon as he saw us, Min sat down and mentioned another practitioner who was tortured. He was worried that I did not hear him, so touched my hand and said, “There’s something I want to tell you. The guards kept so and so in a room and tortured him badly.” I said I heard what he said and Min was relieved.

As soon as we returned, we notified that practitioner’s family. They went to the prison to visit the practitioner and the torture was reduced.

Joint Efforts

Lin, a medical doctor, started to practice Falun Dafa before the persecution began in 1999. Following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, he worked hard and refused to take the bribes his patients offered. But after the CCP began to suppress Falun Dafa, he was detained numerous times in forced labor camps, brainwashing centers, and prisons. He was fired from his job, and he had no place to stay.

Lin was arrested at his rental apartment and held in a forced labor camp for three years. This labor camp is also located on a mountain and about 100 practitioners were previously detained there. Some of them lost their lives. When Lin was detained in the past, he was subjected to the tiger bench torture and shocked with electric batons. He was deprived of sleep and food and endured other types of torture. He was injured badly both physically and mentally.

This time when he was taken to the labor camp, Lin jumped out of the vehicle as soon as he arrived and tried to run. But he sprained his ankle when his foot touched the ground, and he couldn’t move. Ignoring his pain, the officers dragged him into a cell. They not only deprived him of food and water but also forced him to carry human waste to the garden.

Practitioners in my city heard about this and went there to send forth righteous thoughts. A practitioner whose celestial eye is open saw the following scene: When we sent forth righteous thoughts near the labor camp, the sky became clear and divine beings came to help. When we sent forth righteous thoughts down the hill far away from the labor camp, the sky was foggy. As a result, more practitioners went near the labor camp to send righteous thoughts. Practitioners who were released from that labor camp said they could feel our help when we sent righteous thoughts, and the guards were not as brutal.

We started our rescue effort by looking for Lin’s parents, but it wasn’t easy becasue we didn’t know them. We read the Falun Dafa teachings together so we would be clear on why we were doing this. Lin’s mother and other relatives lived in the suburbs and we were reluctant to go so far away. We realized we weren’t willing to suffer and that we were afraid our cultivation would be affected if we got involved. When we realized this, Master helped us and we got in touch with a practitioner who lived near Lin’s mother. But after she saw how badly Lin had been tortured, she was frightened and refused to see us.

Knowing only Master could rescue Lin, we contacted practitioners near the labor camp, and they gave us a lot of help. We rented an apartment in the area and talked to Lin’s mother. Seeing other practitioners helping out so much, the mother was touched and decided to move into the rental apartment, too. That way, everyone could study the Fa (teachings) and do the exercises together. At first, Lin’s mother was afraid to go with us to the labor camp to help rescue her son. But after group study and some discussion, she had righteous thoughts.

Two female practitioners went to the labor camp and met a manager surnamed Liu. They asked him to release Lin. Because he had been tortured, Lin was not in his right mind, and he screamed when he saw the practitioners. The guard said Lin ate feces and drank urine.

Saddened by what they saw, the two practitioners urged Liu to release Lin. One of them got upset and said something inappropriate, which made Liu angry. He called in 10 officers to arrest them. The two practitioners had strong righteous thoughts and continued to urge them to release Lin. The practitioners outside the labor camp kept sending strong righteous thoughts. The battle between good and evil lasted for a while, but the vicious elements were disintegrated. With Master’s compassionate protection, the two practitioners were able to safely leave the labor camp.

When they heard this, Lin’s mother and the other practitioners were inspired. More practitioners joined in the effort to send righteous thoughts near the labor camp. Lin’s mother also saw the gap in her own cultivation: Other practitioners sacrificed so much to rescue her son, but she was his mother and she was afraid!

The mother improved quickly and she went to the labor camp entrance every day by herself, urging the guards to release Lin. It was a freezing cold winter, and sometimes it snowed or rained. But she went there every day and sat on the cold ground, asking that her son be released. Some of the officers who had learned the truth about Dafa were moved and encouraged her to go home and get warm. But she refused and continued sitting there.

Her compassion, righteous thoughts, and righteous actions were very touching. The labor camp officials decided to release Lin.

But it was almost Chinese New Year, the officials at Lin’s registered residence refused to accept him. What should we do? Lin’s mother had improved a lot over the past few months, and after discussing the situation with other practitioners, she agreed to contact the 610 Office in her hometown.

Two of us went with her on a bus to her hometown. When they learned what happened, local practitioners were very supportive and found still other practitioners to help us.

The other practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts nearby, and several of us went to the 610 Office to explain why Lin began to practice Falun Dafa, how he became a better doctor because of the practice, and why he would not give up his belief even though he was persecuted for years. The officers were moved and decided to pick up Lin within a week.

One week later, Lin arrived home safely. Although his labor camp term was three years, he was only there for three months. Seeing old forces’ arrangements successfully short circuited like this, many practitioners in the region were encouraged. More and more practitioners stepped forward to cultivate diligently.

As practitioners, we know that none of is is possible without Master’s help. Thank you, Master, for everything.
