(Minghui.org) The Salon des Maires 2024 was held at the Porte de Versailles on November 19-21, 2024. Practitioners participated in the three-day activity to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. They called on people to work together to stop the CCP’s brutality.
The practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, distributed flyers, and collected signatures on a petition calling to end the CCP’s persecution of the practice in China. Many people said this was the first time they had heard about Falun Dafa. When they learned about the persecution, they immediately signed the petition to support the Falun Dafa practitioners.
When some Chinese students passed by, they took the truth-clarifying materials and copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Practitioners advised them to go to The Epoch Times website and withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations that they joined. Some smiled and nodded, and some thanked the practitioners.

The Persecution is Wrong
André Diaz, from French Polynesia, is the mayor of a town on the island. He said he had previously heard about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa, and after signing the petition he said, “The persecution is wrong, and everyone needs to respond to it.”
He said that after a broadcast on TV about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa and the state-sanctioned organ harvesting a few years ago, there was no follow-up. He said that to stop this persecution, we need to do what Falun Dafa practitioners are doing now, which requires discussion, communication, and dissemination.

André Brunet is the first deputy mayor of Saint-Ferréol in the Haute-Vosava region, and responsible for community affairs. He said that because his father was a Catholic, he received a fairly in-depth religious education when he was young, and he studied in a seminary for six years.
Regarding the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and the live organ harvesting, he said, “This is terrible and completely unacceptable. For me, this is intolerable. It is unacceptable to abuse people like this. I have always been disgusted by this kind of thing. It is completely unacceptable.”
He said that we feel helpless in the face of persecution, and don’t know how to deal with it, but efforts opposing the persecution is a great cause. It’s not enough to just tell people about it.
He said that Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are very good principles, and he tries to follow them, which is really meaningful and very good.

Marilyn Guilleux is a bank manager responsible for French corporate clients. She said she likes Chinese culture, and was appalled when she learned about the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. She said, “Today in 2024, every nation should enjoy freedom. Moreover, a big country like China should never forcibly harvest people’s organs. This is their body and their life. Human morality is declining, and the trafficking of organs without consent is unacceptable. Everyone should have freedom of thought. I hope your actions will be successful and I sincerely wish you all the best.”
Marilyn said, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are the most beautiful values in the world. Truthfulness is our mission. It is very important to be a real person, have values, and be loyal to these traditional virtues. We must remain true. As for kindness, everyone should have a kind eye for others. Only in this way can we improve the world and make things progress. Therefore, we should support each other. In our short lives, we should strive to help others instead of persecuting them. As for tolerance, we need patience to make things change. It is important that we treat others well.”
Isabelle is retired and previously worked in international trade, so she is very interested in the development of China, Asia, and the world.
She said that the CCP has been carrying out the persecution for many years, which is really a pity. “But I have full confidence in the Chinese people,” she said. “because China has an ancient and powerful civilization of 6,000 years. The Communist Party only emerged in the past 100 years, which is short in terms of history. So, I have confidence in the Chinese people.”
Isabelle said that she has been learning about the situation over the past few years. She learned that Falun Dafa helps people to be healthy and to improve spiritually. After taking a flyer, she said that she would read it carefully.
Marie-Françoise Lelièvre stopped to talk with practitioners, and she learned about the persecution and signed the petition. She said that people didn’t know much about the persecution, “This is really terrible. Especially the organ harvesting, it’s really terrible. I hope that one day this will end, because it’s not normal at all. In order to save a life, organs are taken from people in China. This is incredible.”
She learned that when people go to China for an organ transplant, they can get a kidney in a week, and a heart in two weeks. In France, you have to wait for several years to get an organ. She said, “This is where we see the problem.”
She praised practitioners for doing a good job in exposing the persecution and letting people know the truth.
