(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Xiaojing from Huaying City, Sichuan Province, was sentenced to three years around October 2024 for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
Ms. Wang, around 60, worked at the Huaying City Department Store. She was fired after she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in August 2000 and was given two years of forced labor. After she was released, she opened a clothing shop to make a living. Several officers broke into her shop on November 16, 2010 and took her to the Huaying City Detention Center, where she was brutally beaten. The Huaying City Court heard her case on May 17, 2011 and sentenced her to three and a half years on June 23 that year. She served time in Ziyang Prison.
Ms. Wang moved to Dayi County (about 180 miles from Huaying and under the administration of the capital city of Chengdu) after she was released. While talking to people about Falun Gong on October 24, 2023, she was reported to the police and arrested. Officers from the Dayi County Domestic Security Division raided her home and took her to the Chengdu City Detention Center. It was learned recently that she was sentenced by the Dayi County Court around October 2024.
