(Minghui.org) Tomorrow is November 5th, the day of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Every four years, what happens on the first Tuesday of November has far-reaching effects in both America and the world.
In this election cycle, the mainstream media no longer holds a monopoly on information due to the rise and increasing maturity of independent media channels. People from all walks of life have had more opportunities to show their true selves, understand the real situation, and make the best choices for themselves.
What is the “best choice,” then? Some people are driven by emotion, some by personal motives, and some by the needs of their country, society, and family. There are multiple levels of moral standards. While people act, heaven watches. While people vote, heaven selects people.
Meanwhile, as November 5th approaches, we have seen fake polls, fake news, the mainstream media quoting presidential candidates out of context to discredit them, the banning of voter ID checks, people voting multiple times with fake IDs, a large number of illegal immigrants being turned into a voting base, voting machines automatically changing votes, ballot boxes being stolen and discarded in bulk, incorrect vote counts, and the prohibition of manual vote counting (only allowing machines that can be controlled by software to count votes), etc.
Communism wants to rule the world, and no country is free of its influence. The United States is the “last nail” that the communist devil wants to pull out. All the ballot-related “accidents,” verbal attacks aimed at “ruining one’s reputation,” and physical violence aimed at “destroying one physically” have been directed only at one of the candidates. There has not been an “accident” impacting the other candidate. This has made people anxious, frustrated, and even angry, and many have also felt pessimistic, helpless, and numb.
In fact, the mainstream media’s misleading of voters and their emotions, as well as the stream of negative news, are all part of a process of testing and tempering people. “Conquering one’s enemy without a fight” is a strategy of everyday people. As practitioners, if we find ourselves easily becoming emotional and falling into negativity, then this is a good opportunity to dig out attachments and improve our xinxing. If we find ourselves indifferent, then it is also a good opportunity to root out self-centeredness and other attachments.
Losing without a fight, blaming others when encountering setbacks, and abandoning one’s duty are the greatest regrets in the eyes of divine beings. People who are kind will see a bright future, while those who are selfish and do evil will have no future. As practitioners, we should do well at casting our own votes and, at the same time, use righteous thoughts to reinforce people’s kind thoughts. This way, we can strengthen the spread of truth, encourage kindness, and maintain the environment for saving people.
In other words, every practitioner who is an American citizen should not only vote and not give bad people the opportunity to change or discard our ballots, but also use righteous thoughts to prevent the voting machines in our communities from being tampered with, protect the people in our constituencies, and allow them to exercise their legal right to vote without interference.
In addition, this general election includes not only the presidency but also senators, representatives, sheriffs, education boards, and other local officials, which makes each vote even more important. After the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and the influx of illegal immigrants over the past decade or so, every vote of an American citizen today is hard-won and should be cherished and used properly.
