(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an event at Place de la Bastille in Paris on Sunday, November 3, 2024. They demonstrated the exercises, talked to people about Falun Dafa, and called for an end to the persecution.

Local residents and tourists stopped by to learn more and said it was important to learn about the persecution in China, which they said was inhumane, and they hoped it would end soon.

People Hope the Persecution Ends Soon

Cantal, a former university professor, signed the petition after she read the display boards about the forced organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners. She said, “I hope this helps. We all know the Chinese regime is very frightening.” She said she hopes the persecution ends soon.

Lenely, an 85-year-old former educator, was shocked to learn about the persecution and said she hadn’t heard about it before: “We never heard about this.” She mentioned that the media doesn’t report it, likely due to economic interests.

Persecution Is Inhumane

Jonathan, a personal development coach from Normandy who was visiting Paris, said the persecution is inhumane.

He agreed with Falun Dafa’s core values, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Jonathan feels that kindness can connect people and said, “Forbearance is a value that isn’t often mentioned, but it’s essential in an increasingly fast-paced society. Patience means taking care of oneself and making time for oneself. It’s about letting time flow and learning to observe. As for truthfulness, it’s about being true to oneself and staying genuine.”

He added, “We shouldn’t stray from our inner nature; instead, we should remain authentic in our surroundings and treat others with respect and kindness. These principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the foundation of Falun Dafa and of society.”

Sabrina said, “So many terrible things are happening in the world.” She found the news about organ harvesting shocking and said she’d never heard of it before. “It’s unbelievable—so horrific that we can hardly imagine it,” she added.

It Is Important to Learn the Truth

Marianne, who lives near Place de la Bastille, said that she loves the Chinese people. “It’s a country with an outstanding, ancient history, and they truly have a reason to feel proud of their heritage and ancestors,” she said. “The Chinese are a resilient people who have faced many hardships throughout history and always managed to rise again. They are strong, patient, and respectful.”

She also admired the spirit of selflessness often displayed by Chinese people and sincerely wished them the best. “I truly hope they can live in freedom and happiness so that the new generation can feel proud of their past and history.”

Marianne added that people are here on Earth to learn. She said, “Life is like a school, where we learn from birth until our final day.” She found it hard to understand those who don’t seek truth. “When we know the truth about things, we become stronger, more confident, happier, and more balanced. This is very important.”
