(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Mr. He Jianglei Detained in Psychiatric Hospital for Over 5 Years
Mr. He Jianglei, 56, used to live in the No. 24 Family Area of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission in Haidian District. He has been held in the Beijing Psychiatric Hospital for five years.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Face Prison Sentences
Three practitioners from Haizhou Township of Kangping County, including Ms. Jia Shukun, Ms. Gao Genying, and Ms. Gao Baoxia, were tried by the Xinmin Court on November 27, 2024. The prosecutor recommended sentencing Ms. Jia to three years, Ms. Gao Genying to two years and Ms. Gao Baoxia to one year in prison.
3. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shang Xiufang Tried in Court
Ms. Shang Xiufang, a former employee of the Ning’an City Epidemic Prevention Station, was tried by the Hailin City Court on December 11, 2024.
Ms. Shang has suffered persecution before, including serving three years in prison, two forced labor camp terms, and a 13-day detention.
4. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhong Shufeng and Ms. Xu Zerong Harassed
Officer Zhang Luping and others from the Guanying Town Police Station in Wutong District, went to Ms. Zhong Shufeng’s home in Masangba Village on November 18, 2024. They confiscated her Falun Gong book and photographed her.
Three officers, including Zhang Luping, went to Ms. Xu Zerong’s home in Daxingmiao Village, Guanying Town on the afternoon of December 5, 2024. They tried to photograph Ms. Xu, but she stopped them.
5. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Tang Xifu Harassed
Mr. Tang Xifu was harassed at home in Hongguang Farm by officers from the Baiyilaga Township Police Station at 3 p.m. on December 9, 2024. The police searched his home but didn’t find any Falun Gong-related materials.
6. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chang Jing Arrested and Detained
Ms. Chang Jing was followed when she talked to people about Falun Gong in front of a school. She was arrested on December 3, 2024 and taken to the Jingmen Lockup. Her home was ransacked.
7. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Ying (last name unknown) from Koutou Village and Ms. Wang Cuiying from Xi’nan Village were each harassed at their homes by officers from the Huining Township Police Station on the afternoon of November 19, 2024.
Practitioner Gang Jun was harassed at home in Beiliangshe Village by two officers from the Huining Township Police Station on the afternoon of November 20, 2024. The police confiscated one Falun Gong book and one copy of the Minghui Weekly.
8. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Hailian Harassed
Ms. Guo Hailian was harassed at home in Nanwen Village in Weicheng Town, Wei County by village officials Zhang Zhenqing and Song Yanfang on December 9, 2024. They took some photos of her.
9. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zuo Xiuyun Tried
Ms. Zuo Xiuyun was scheduled to stand trial in the Minqing County Court on the morning of December 13, 2024.
10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Meihua Arrested and Detained
Because of talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers market, Ms. Yang Meihua was arrested by officers from the Yihai Road Police Station in Liuting Sub-district, Chengyang District, on the afternoon of July 18, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She has been detained in the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo District since.
11. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Jinzi Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhang Jinzi from Pingding County, 65, was arrested at home by four officers from the Pingding County Police Department on the afternoon of November 25, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, cell phone, and her Falun Gong books. She was taken to the Yangquan City Detention Center and transferred to the Yangquan City Brainwashing Center on December 3, 2024.
12. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Weiting Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Liu Weiting from Yanjiang District was arrested several months ago. She was sentenced to an unknown term by the Yanjiang District Court around October 2024. It’s not clear whether she has been transferred to the Sichuan Province Women’s Prison or whether she is still detained in the Ziyang City Detention Center.
13. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Dai Meixia Arrested and Detained
Ms. Dai Meixia was recorded by surveillance cameras while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Futian District of Shenzhen City on the evening of December 5, 2024. She was arrested by officers from the Nanyuan Police Station in Futian District on December 7, 2024 and has been detained in the Futian District Detention Center since.
14. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Xiuhuan Arrested
Ms. Zhao Xiuhuan, 69, from Shijingshan District, was arrested on December 9, 2024 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.
15. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Cai Guilian and Ms. Huang Simei Arrested
Ms. Cai Guilian, 75, and Ms. Huang Simei, 78, were photographed by plainclothes police officers when talking to people about Falun Gong in a supermarket on the morning of December 12, 2024. They were arrested by officers from the Qingquan Town Police Station and transferred to the Xishui County Police Department shortly after, before being released late that afternoon.
