(Minghui.org) After reading a recent notice from the Minghui Editorial Board published on February 4, 2024, I learned that a former practitioner had left our cultivation group. I knew this was a huge loss for both her and the sentient beings who were relying on her.
Many such people go to the opposite side because they are too attached to certain individuals or to certain ways of doing things. Affected by sentimentality, they strongly hold onto their own opinions and ways of doing things and even consider them to exceed the standards of Dafa (Great Law). They fell into an old forces’ trap. This is self-destruction, something Master Li (founder of Falun Dafa) does not want to see.
Cultivation is a serious matter, and our path is narrow. It is not about how capable we are among everyday people; it's about whether we consider ourselves to be cultivators and look inward on critical issues, including major xinxing tests and tribulations. That is, we are tested to see if we can let go of our egos and align with what Dafa and Master require of us.
No matter what we do to validate the Fa, no matter how much we have accomplished, and no matter what level of society we are in, we should stay focused. That is, we must improve our xinxing, study the Dafa principles well, and cultivate ourselves well. Doing these things is the priority.
We must always consider ourselves to be cultivators and cultivate in Dafa with righteous thoughts. Only then can we accumulate mighty virtue and withstand any setbacks, tests, demonic interference, or temptations. This will allow us to walk on the right path and not go awry.
We never put ourselves or our understandings on a high level or put the Fa in a secondary position. We must remain humble and respect Dafa.
Master has warned us:
“It’s difficult to practice cultivation, yet very easy to fall. When a person fails a test or can’t let go of a strong human attachment, he might reverse himself or go to the opposite side. There are too many lessons in history. Only after having fallen down will a person begin to regret, yet then it’s too late.” (“Dafa Can Never be Plagiarized”, Essentials for Further Advancement)
Let us learn a lesson whenever we make a mistake. Take it as a warning, and cultivate our xinxing.
