(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

7. [Linfen City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Mingtang Arrested
8. [Qi County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Yuan Jinming Transferred to Prison
9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. You Yuxuan Arrested
10. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yuan Cuifeng Tried

12. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhongguo’s Prison Term Extended
1. [Zhengding County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guoying Faces Trial
Ms. Li Guoying was scheduled to be tried at 2 p.m. on March 6, 2024, at the Zhengding Court.
2. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Si Liping Tried
Ms. Si Liping was arrested on April 20, 2023, by Baiyin City police. She was held in the Baiyin City Detention Center for nine months before she was tried in early February 2024, prior to the Chinese New Year, at the Baiyin District Court. Her sentence may be longer than three years in prison.
3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] At Least Seven Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Dongchang District Police Department arrested at least seven practitioners on March 1, 2024. They are Song Dianhong, Liu Xiaoyan, Sun Xiaona, Qu Xiaofei and his wife Qu Dan (who has returned home), Zhang Xuejie, and a practitioner surnamed Xu. They are held at the Xishan Rehabilitation Center (a brainwashing center).
4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Shaolin Detained
Ms. Liang Shaolin, in her 70s, was arrested at her sister’s home in the Baiyun District, on January 29, 2024, by officers from the Jiahe Police Station. She is held at the Baiyun District Detention Center.
Her lawyer requested to meet her on March 1, 2024. The detention center guards attempted to handcuff her. When Ms. Liang firmly refused, in retaliation the detention center deprived her of her right to meet with her lawyer.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Detained
Five practitioners including Ms. Yang Shuyu, Ms. Zhang Yulan, and Wang Jian (gender unknown), were arrested at Ms. Yang Shuyu’s home on the morning of February 23, 2024, by officers from the Lijia Street Police Station in the Shahekou District. They are held at the Yaojia Detention Center.
Two days after they were arrested, a practitioner went to Wang Jian’s home and saw his or her home was in a mess after the police raided it.
6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Su Xianzhi Temporarily Detained at Railway Station
Su Xianzhi (gender unknown), lives in Maludong Residential District of Zhangjiakou City. Su was about to board a train at the Shijiazhuang Railway Station to return home on February 29, 2024, when the railway station staff stopped and questioned him or her. Maludong Street Office staff who were monitoring the railway station took Su to the Maludong Police Station to be interrogated. The police also ransacked Su’s home. Su was detained until the night before his or her family took him or her back home.
7. [Linfen City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Mingtang Arrested
Mr. Zhao Mingtang from Houma City was arrested on December 27, 2023, by officers from the Houma City Domestic Security Office. He has been missing ever since.
8. [Qi County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Yuan Jinming Transferred to Prison
Mr. Yuan Jinming was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Quwo County Court. He was sent to the Qi County Prison in December 2023. Mr. Yuan’s family contacted the prison authorities and asked if they could visit him after the 2024 New Year. They were told that Mr. Yuan was still at the Intensive Training Team, and was not allowed family visits.
9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. You Yuxuan Arrested
Ms. You Yuxuan bought a train ticket on February 27, 2024, and planned to go to Beijing on March 2 to have her teeth repaired. The police obtained the record of her buying a ticket via the Big Data Surveillance System and repeatedly called her to harass her, with the excuse that “two conferences” (the Chinese Communist Party’s two annual meetings) would be held in Beijing at that time. They forbade her from going to Beijing and demanded she cancel the ticket.
Officers from the Dagang Road Police Station arrested Ms. You on March 1, and detained her for 24 hours, before they sent her to her neighborhood office to continue being detained. Ms. You has not yet returned home.
10. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yuan Cuifeng Tried
Ms. Yuan Cuifeng from Shuangyang Town, Zichuan District was arrested and detained at the Zibo City Detention Center. The Zichuan District Court tried her on the morning of January 26, 2024, and the trial lasted 30 minutes. Ms. Yuan said she had not broken any laws and refused to sign any documents or give her fingerprints. She returned home on February 6 after having been detained for more than four months.
11. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Huang You Arrested
Huang You (gender unknown) from Zhanjiang City was arrested days ago and was sent to Shenzhen City. His or her current situation is unknown.
12. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhongguo’s Prison Term Extended
Mr. Wang Zhongguo from Xiaogou Village, Jianye Township, Lingyuan City, has been detained in Jinzhou Prison. His prison term was extended to six months.
