(Minghui.org) Practitioners were invited to participate in the Zen et Bio Exposition in the city of Angers on March 10, 2024. They introduced Falun Dafa to visitors, taught the exercises for free, and told people about the ongoing persecution of the practice in China. Many people were interested and wanted to learn the practice.
After the Expo, practitioners went to Villa Beausoleil, a nursing home in Notre-Dame-de-Riez, Vandee, to teach the residents the exercises. Several people said they felt great after doing them.

In the afternoon on March 10, the practitioners taught the exercises at the Expo for an hour. About 20 people arrived early. The youngest was a 6-year-old girl who came with her mother. She was was very focused when following the practitioners’ movements. After they learned the exercises, several people said they felt great energy and asked how they could continue doing the exercises on their own. The practitioners set up schedules to do the exercises with them and suggested that they go to the Falun Dafa website to watch the free exercise demonstration videos.
Marie-Christine works at the University of Angers (Université d’Angers.) She bought The Great Way of Spiritual Perfection, a book that explains the exercise movements and the principles in detail. She invited practitioners to come to the university to teach the exercises to the retired staff and faculty.
Annie spoke in-depth with a practitioner, explaining that she’s been looking for a qigong exercise and hasn’t had much luck. For her, Falun Dafa seemed like a Chinese traditional art and she felt extremely comfortable just being around the booth. “I met practitioners just in time,” she said.
As time went by, more and more people lined up at the booth to get more information about Falun Dafa. The practitioners exchanged contact information with those who expressed an interest in learning more in the future.
Introducing Falun Dafa at a Nursing Home
Villa Beausoleil, a nursing home, is in a first-class apartment building with high-end entertainment and recreational facilities. Mr. Bruno Merlin, a practitioner, is a chef at the Villa. After his health improved so much by practicing Falun Dafa, he wanted to introduce the practice to the nursing home residents.

The Villa residents were waiting for the practitioners when they arrived and showed great interest in learning the practice. They listened as practitioners explained Falun Dafa’s principles and the exercises and followed the practitioners’ movements when they demonstrated them.
One of the staff members said that after doing the exercises, she felt an energy so strong that she could barely feel her legs, and that her entire body felt light and comfortable.
Ratier is 88 years old and has trouble moving around. However she copied the movements the entire time the practitioners demonstrated them. She even moved to the kitchen so she could see them better. She said she was very happy and amazed after doing the exercises. A facility supervisor said, “It’s unbelievable that Ratier raised both of her arms. She could not do that before.”

Two more women learned all five of the exercises. One of them, Joubert Yvette, is in her 90s. She said that she would continue to do the exercises because she enjoyed it.
When people were told that Falun Dafa practitioners in China have been brutally persecuted since July 1999, they were shocked. One of them said that the principles of Falun Dafa—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—are good for everyone, and that it made her hair stand up to hear that the Chinese Communist Party tortures practitioners for their belief.
