(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Jingyun Arrested
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Song Yucen Transferred to Elderly and Disabled Ward
4. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Cuiying to Finish Prison Sentence
5. [Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xiao Qiuwen and Ms. Xiao Fangmei Imprisoned
6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Shufen Imprisoned
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Li Released
1. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Jingyun Arrested
Ms. Wang Jingyun was arrested at her home on the morning of February 24, 2024, by officers from the Shifu Street Police Station. They ransacked her home and took her to the station.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Yang Shuyu, Ms. Zhang Yulan, and three other practitioners were arrested by Lijia Street Police Station officers in the Shahekou District.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Song Yucen Transferred to Elderly and Disabled Ward
Mr. Song Yucen has been incarcerated in the Dalian City Prison’s No. 4 Ward. He was transferred to the Elderly and Disabled Ward before February 1, 2024, which was family visiting day.
4. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Cuiying to Finish Prison Sentence
Ms. Wang Cuiying and Ms. Zhao Aizhen from the Mudan District were arrested on March 7, 2019. Juancheng County Court judge Fan Hong sentenced them to five years and four-and-a-half-years in prison respectively on March 18, 2021.
Ms. Zhao was released after her entence ended in May 2023. Ms. Wang will finish hers on March 7, 2024.
5. [Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xiao Qiuwen and Ms. Xiao Fangmei Imprisoned
Ms. Xiao Qiuwen and Ms. Xiao Fangmei were sentenced to 10 months and 11 months in prison respectively. They were arrested on February 22, 2024, and admitted to the Pingxiang City Detention Center that night. They were taken to prison the next morning.
6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Shufen Imprisoned
Ms. Guo Shufen is incarcerated in the Liaoning Province No. 1 Women’s Prison. She will complete her term on March 8, 2024.
She was arrested on December 9, 2021, and was sentenced to two-years-and-three-months in prison.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Li Released
Ms. Zhao Li from the Longfeng District was arrested at home by officers from the Lindian Police Department on July 12, 2022. The Gaoxin Technology District Court sentenced her to 18 months in prison. Her appeal was denied by the Daqing Intermediate Court. She was admitted to the Heilongjiang Women’s Prison.
She was released on January 11, 2024.
