1. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Heyun Faces Trial

1. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Heyun Faces Trial
Ms. Wang Heyun lives in Fucheng County. The Jing County Court scheduled her trial for March 1, 2024, at 9 a.m.
2. [Lichuan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xie Mingguang Detained
When Mr. Xie Mingguang talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on February 8, 2024, someone reported him. Officers knocked on his door and claimed to be from property management. They arrested him, ransacked the place, and seized his Falun Gong books and materials, computer, printer, cell phone, and other personal items.
An officer from the Lichuan City Police Department called his wife on February 9 and said that he was given 15 days of detention and would be released on February 24.
On February 23, his wife received another call from the police department. She was told that he was transferred to the Lichuan City Detention Center. His case would be sent to the procuratorate, and she should go to the detention center to sign documents.
3. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiumei Arrested
Ms. Wang Xiumei was arrested at home by officers from the Quzhou County Police Department and the Domestic Security Division after 7 a.m. on February 26, 2024. They ransacked the place and seized two computers, two printers, tens of thousands of yuan in cash, Falun Gong books, and other personal items.
Two other practitioners were arrested that day.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Niu Fengbo Detained
Four or five plainclothes officers from the Jiutai District Police Department staked out the home of Niu Fengbo (gender unknown) after 7 a.m. on July 21, 2023. When Niu’s family opened the door and walked out, they rushed in, arrested Niu, and seized all his or her Falun Gong books. Niu was detained for 15 days in the Xinglongshan Detention Center, was then transferred to a detention house, and was released on bail.
5. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cheng Aiyang Harassed
Ms. Cheng Aiyang lives in Yonghan Town, Longmen County. The power to her home was cut off after 5 p.m. on February 25, 2024. Officers from the local police station and clerks from her property management knocked on her door. They returned around 6 p.m. and knocked on her door.
The police came to her home for the third time around 3 p.m. the next day and knocked on her door. Her home’s power and water were cut off. Her door camera was either covered or damaged, and she could not see outside. Someone who claimed to be an officer from the Yonghan Police Station said that she was suspected of being a “cult member” and they would take her away for questioning; if she refused to cooperate, they would remove her by force and put her in a brainwashing center.
6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Guo Xiaoyun Sentenced
Ms. Guo Xiaoyun and her husband Mr. Huang Yiqin from Wuhan went to their hometown Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province to visit relatives on February 11, 2023. They distributed Falun Gong flyers in neighborhoods in the Jiangyan District on the afternoon of February 13. A resident reported them. Police tracked them through surveillance videos and arrested them the next day. Mr. Huang was released on bail four months later.
Ms. Guo was sentenced to three years in prison (which was suspended for five years) by the Jiangyan District Court on January 3, 2024.
