(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Yunfeng Faces Trial
Mr. Zhao Yunfeng was arrested and taken to the Nangang District Police Department in March 2024. He was released that night, but was under house arrest. The police repeatedly harassed him. The Daoli District Court scheduled his trial for April 8, 2024 at 2:30.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hu Jing Detained
Ms. Hu Jing, in her 70s, is a resident of Lushunkou District. She was stalked and arrested by officers from the Dengfengjiedao Police Station when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers in December 2023. Her husband is bedridden and relies on her care. The family was forced to pay 5,000 yuan to have her released on bail. Police officers and court clerks kept harassing her son, as a means to force her to sign documents to denounce Falun Gong. Ms. Hu was taken away from home by the Ganjingzi Court on March 15, 2024. She is being held in the Dalian Detention Center.
3. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xu Detained, Ms. Li Guoxia Missing
Officers from the Bayuquan Domestic Security Division and two Inner Mongolia police officers went to Ms. Liu Xu’s home in the Bayuquan District around 9:30 a.m. on March 29, 2024. She was at work. They ordered her son to call her home and they ransacked the place. She returned home in half an hour. They continued searching the place and seized her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, cash, a notebook, and other items. They took Ms. Liu with them when they left at 4:00 p.m. They called her family after 7:00 p.m. and said she was taken to Yingkou City and was undergoing a physical exam in the Yingkou Textile Hospital. She was sent to the Yingkou Detention Center and has been detained there since.
Ms. Li Guoxia lives in the same community as Ms. Liu. She was harassed by officers in front of her condo on the afternoon of March 28, 2024. Another Falun Gong practitioner happened to pass the scene and saw it. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
4. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yinhua Detained
Ms. Li Yinhua was arrested by officers from the Qiaobei Police Station after 2:00 p.m. on April 5, 2024, after a man reported her when she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Three officers and a community clerk ransacked her home after 3:00 p.m. She was sent to the Fushun City Nangou Detention Center around 8:00 p.m. and detained for 15 days.
5. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Sulan’s Son Harassed
Ms. Liu Sulan, in her 60s, lives in Xiejiadian, Longping Township. Village clerks looked for her on March 12, 2024. When they did not find her, then called her son to the village office, and tried to have him force his mother to defame Falun Gong and videotape it.
6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Pu Zexiu and Two Others Arrested
Ms. Pu Zexiu, 85, Ms. Chen Weixin, 79, and Ms. Yang Shengzhen, 70, were followed by plainclothes officers on the morning of April 1, 2024, when they were distributing Falun Gong flyers on the street. They were arrested and taken to the Kaixuan Road Police Station, where they were searched and questioned.
Officers ransacked Ms. Yang’s homes in the Airport Community and the Xincheng Community twice. They did not find what they were looking for. The three practitioners were released at noon.
7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Guifen Faces Indictment
Ms. Chen Guifen, 84, was arrested at her home in 2021 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. A neighbor who was visiting her was also arrested. The neighbor was released at midnight. Ms. Chen was released after 4:00 a.m. the next day.
She was arrested again around 7:00 a.m. on March 18, 2024 by three officers from Pengzhou City’s Fanjiang Road Police Station. They took her to the police station. Several agents from the procuratorate delivered the indictment at 10:00 a.m.
8. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Jingfen Harassed
Ms. Li Jingfen, 83, was harassed at home after 10:00 a.m. on April 6, 2024, by officers claiming to be from the Damafang Police Station. They ransacked the place and seized her belongings.
Her husband is paralyzed and bedridden, and cannot take care of himself. Their situation is currently unknown.
9. [Shanwei City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Huizhu Harassed, Ms. Zhu Huiluan Detained
Ms. Lin Huizhu lives in Dongshan, Rongcheng District, Jieyang City. Agents from the Shanwei City 610 Office and officers from the Dongxing Police Station harassed and photographed her after 3:00 p.m. on March 22, 2024.
Ms. Zhu Huiluan lives in an apartment close to Ms. Lin’s home. The same group arrested her and ransacked her apartment after 4:00 p.m. on March 22, 2024. She was sent to the Jieyang City Detention Center.
10. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Han Chao and Mr. Han Wei Detained
Mr. Han Chao was given criminal detention by the Nantong City Tongzhou District Police Department on March 14, 2024. He is being held in the detention center located on Xingming Road, Nantong City.
He and his brother Mr. Han Wei were arrested by officers from the Zhangzhishan Police Station in the Suxitong Technology Park. Their attorney said police used torture to extract confessions from Mr. Han Wei. His family did not receive a notification regarding his detention.
