(Minghui.org) Something happened last year that helped me reach a deeper understanding of Dafa, and solidified my faith in Master.
One morning last August, I noticed a leak in the corner of the ceiling. I felt it was a small thing and easy to fix. I mixed some concrete, stacked three stools, two at the bottom and one on top. I climbed on the top stool and set to work. I was focused on the task and fell.
The loud sound woke my son, he hurried in and saw me laying there unconscious. He carried me to bed. The moment I lay down, my head began to spin and my insides churned. My heart raced, I felt nauseous and I was unable to breathe. I couldn’t move. The only thing I could remember were the two phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I called out in a feeble voice: “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Master, save me.”
My son was about to phone an ambulance, when he heard me calling out, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Master, save me.” He contacted my older sister, who is also a Dafa practitioner. She came and asked me if I needed to go to the hospital. I said no. She said, “You believe in Master and Dafa, and you will follow what Master taught us.” She began to play the music for the Falun Dafa meditation exercise, Strengthening Supernatural Powers. I tried to sit up, but before I could lift up my head, I felt dizzy and vomited. I told my sister I couldn’t get up. She told me I could, and that I would be fine.
I silently recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I sat up and meditated. My sister asked me to do the rest of the exercises.
When I tried to stand, I felt dizzy again and threw up. The room was spinning and my feet felt unsteady. I could not stop myself from falling over. My sister helped me stand next to the sofa and stood next to me to help me. My heart pounded and I felt uncomfortable. I wanted to lay down and not to do the exercises. She encouraged me, “It’s alright, Master is here, Dafa is here, nothing bad will happen.” I remembered what Master wrote, ““When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it.”” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun) My body felt much lighter afterwards.
She and I went to our younger sister’s place. As soon as I sat down, I felt dizzy again and vomited. My older sister later told me that I should spend more time studying the Fa, doing the exercises and sending righteous thoughts. I followed her advice, and all the symptoms disappeared in less than two days.
My brother insisted that I go to the hospital. He reasoned that my insurance covers 80% of the medical bill, so I would not be spending much money. I refused to go. I explained that since I’m a cultivator the hospital couldn’t do anything for me. He got angry, and we argued. Seeing that my mind was set, he had nothing more to say.
My friends, colleagues and niece came to visit. They were sure I had a severe concussion and I should go to the hospital for a check up. I told them that I would be fine, and that we cultivators are different from those who do not cultivate. Dafa is a high level cultivation, and practicing the exercises is the best treatment. I pointed out how fast I recovered within just three days. I suggested they say “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” in dangerous situations, and they were impressed by Dafa’s miraculous powers.
I did not cultivate diligently in the past, and I was not even sure if Master considered me his disciple. This accident changed my outlook, and I experienced that Master is next to us every moment. From now on, no matter what happens, I will keep steady faith in Master and Dafa. Study the Fa, cultivate myself and do the three things well, to return to my celestial home with Master.
