(Minghui.org) Guam’s 80th Liberation Day parade was held on July 21, 2024, on Marine Corps Drive in Agana, the capital of Guam. July 21 is Guam’s Independence Day, which commemorates the landing of the U.S. military during World War II, ending the Japanese occupation that began in 1941. Officials and residents celebrated and watched the largest parade held on the island.
This year, more than 50 groups, more than 40 floats, and over 1,000 people participated. The performance by the Tian Guo Marching Band from Taiwan and Japan was the finale of the parade.

Spectators accept the leaflets about Falun Dafa.
Frank, a local resident, said, “It’s very good! I read about [the Tian Guo Marching Band] in The Epoch Times, but this is the first time I’ve seen it.” Another spectator named Paul said, “I like the Tian Guo Marching Band’s performance very much. I hope they can come again.”
There were many teams participating in the parade this year. Before the parade started, the staff repeatedly reminded everyone that except for the floats that stopped in front of the podium to be scored, the rest of the teams were not allowed to stop. The staff also blew the whistle again and again to urge the teams to move forward quickly. But when the Tian Guo Band marched to the podium, the moderator asked them to stop and perform in front of the Guam government officials and community leaders who were on the podium. The emcee also introduced the band and Falun Dafa.
The Governor and the distinguished guests on the podium accepted the Falun Dafa leaflets practitioners gave them. The parade was successful and smooth, and it also gave Guam officials and residents an opportunity to learn about Dafa.
