(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from India and surrounding countries held a march and candlelight vigil in Surat, Gujrat, on July 27, 2024, to protest the persecution in China. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. The activities followed a symposium earlier that day, and many media outlets reported on the events.

During the three-kilometer-long (almost two miles) march, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and held signs that read: “Falun Dafa Teaches Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance,” “Stop Murder for Organs,” and “Stop the Persecution of Falun Dafa.” They also handed out flyers to passersby.
Many people read the materials and display boards and took photos, and some asked where the nearest practice sites were.
Police officers on duty to guide the march were shocked to learn about the ongoing persecution. They were happy to take information about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s ongoing brutality in China. After learning the facts, one policeman said, “This practice is exactly what we need in today’s world!”
Candlelight Vigil in Memory of Practitioners Persecuted to Death
Around 7:00 p.m. that evening, practitioners held a candlelight vigil at Rahul Raj Mall in memory of practitioners in China who lost their lives to the CCP’s 25-year-long persecution.
