(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in a series of events that took place from July 19-21, 2024 to support the 25th anniversary of the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Central University Library on Friday, July 19, across from the Royal Palace in Bucharest, to commemorate those practitioners who have died because of the persecution. On Saturday, July 20, practitioners participated in a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in Bucharest and then set up an information booth in Brasov's old town center in the afternoon. Practitioners organized an information event in the seaside resort of Mamaia on Sunday, July 21.

On both Saturday and Sunday, Dafa practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises at the practice site located in King Michael's Park in Bucharest.

On July 20, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy. Practitioners called for an end to the persecution by the CCP that started 25 years ago.

Practitioners drew people's attention on Republic Street in Brasov on July 21 to the 25-year-long persecution of practitioners in China.

Falun Dafa practitioners held an event on July 21 at the waterfront in Mamaia to mark the date the persecution was launched 25 years ago.

Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrated the exercises on July 20 and 21, at the practice site in King Michael Park in Bucharest.

During these activities, practitioners displayed banners and rollups with information about the practice of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) and the CCP's persecution against it. They distributed informational Dafa materials to passersby and talked to them about cultivation topics. People they spoke to expressed their appreciation for the principles of Falun Dafa “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” and their hope that practitioners in China would maintain their faith despite the pressure.

Musician: The Persecution Will Eventually End

Andrei Maxim (left).

Andrei Maxim, a 29-year-old musician, was informed about Falun Dafa at the candlelight vigil in Bucharest. He read the banners and wanted to find out more information. Regarding the moral values promoted by Falun Dafa, he believes that truthfulness is very important, “it is the essence and basis of human behavior to be honest with oneself, to see one’s weaknesses and improve oneself.” He himself found that, after seeing some of his negative sides and enduring suffering, he became physically stronger.

Concerning the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, Andrei believes that “the practitioners are martyrs,. In fact they are held in a cage in communist China.”

He said he was impressed by the practitioners in Falun Dafa T-shirts holding portraits of those killed in China, and the way it was organized. He encouraged the practitioners in China “to continue to believe in moral values and that the persecution will eventually end.”

A lady in her early 40s, who walked past the practitioners’ banners with a friend, had known about Falun Dafa for several years and was glad that Falun Dafa was being practiced in Romania. She asked for more information about the practice site and the exercises and expressed her wish to cultivate.

She was very saddened that this persecution against moral values has not yet ended and sent a message to practitioners, “Continue to have the strength to uphold your faith.”

People Learn about Falun Dafa and Sympathize with Practitioners

Passersby accept brochures and want to listen to practitioners’ explanation.

The activities were organized to mark 25 years since the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners was initiated in China. All present made a strong impact on the young couple in Bucharest on July 19, 2024. The young man said, “It is unbelievable what the communists in China are doing to those who do not renounce their belief in moral values.”

Two ladies who found out for the first time of the CCP’s cruel persecution of practitioners as well as the murder through forced organ harvesting were shocked and asked how these crimes could be stopped by people in Bucharest.

A young man wanted more information about the practice of Falun Dafa, and two young women were delighted to receive informational materials from a practitioner.

The young people were very interested in Falun Dafa, listened carefully to the information, and said they would look for more data on the subject on the internet in Bucharest.

“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is a Healthy Principle”

In Mamaia on July 21, 2024, Florin Pleșan said: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is a healthy principle.”

Florin Pleșan is a 57-year-old administrator. He had seen a similar Falun Gong awareness event in England but didn't really think that he should find out what it was about. Now in Romania, he learned more from Romanian practitioners and found it beneficial.

Florin said it would do people good to have a way of life based on the values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

“It’s a healthy principle. What Falun Dafa promotes - Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance - are benefits it brings to everyday life,” he said.

On the persecution in China, he was emphatic: “Genocide! That’s what I call it – how I look at it.”

Dana, an economist, commends Falun Dafa.

“Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance would be a good idea for all people, no matter where they are. You get healthier by practicing it, live longer, and make other people happy,” said Dana in Mamaia on July 21, 2024.

Dana, a 39-year-old economist, had heard about Falun Dafa before. She lives in Hong Kong now and said she knew what the problem in Hong Kong is now since the Chinese have taken over everything in politics. On the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, she said, “I don't agree with it at all."
”

If people lived their lives according to values like Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, said Dana, it would be good for all humans. First, you're healthier, you live longer, and you make other people happy in turn.
