(Minghui.org) Saint-Paul is a township on Réunion Island, a French owned island in the Indian Ocean known for its volcanic, rain forest interior, coral reefs and beaches. Falun Gong practitioners have spread Falun Dafa throughout the island.
Local practitioners held a series of activities in Saint-Paul on July 20, 2024 to protest the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong and let people learn about the spiritual practice.
Local practitioners held a series of activities in Saint-Paul on July 20, 2024 to condemn the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong.
Practitioners set up several display boards informing people about the persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have endured in China since 1999. Practitioners talked to people about Falun Gong and called on people to sign two petitions, the first of which calls for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The second is a new action launched by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) in cooperation with ETAC, which will be presented to the leaders of the group of seven and other seven allied countries (G7+7).
Many people stopped by the Falun Gong practitioners’ booth and spoke with the practitioners to learn about the persecution. Two Falun Gong practitioners shared with the public the persecution they personally experienced in China.
After people learned the facts about the persecution, they signed the petitions, and many people encouraged Falun Gong practitioners to keep people informed about the ongoing persecution in China.
Some people were deeply moved after viewing the photos next to the booth. They were informed about the CCP’s persecution and the forced organ harvesting from practitioners while they were still alive. A Chinese-French woman felt particularly sad about the persecution and burst into tears.
