(Minghui.org) Practitioners were invited to participate in the 12th International Festa Hiroshima which was held in the Higashi Ward Community Cultural Center on September 8, 2024.
The International Festa Hiroshima promotes understanding and exchange between people of different nationalities, religions, and ideas through performing arts. Different ethnic groups gave performances including Japanese dance, Shishimai dance, Satsuma-biwa, Shakuhachi, piano, horse-head fiddle, Latin dance, etc.
Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrated the exercises and performed a waist drum dance. The host introduced them, saying, “Falun Dafa has been practiced by 100 million people in over 100 countries around the world since it was introduced in 1992.” A practitioner explained the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and the health benefits of practicing Falun Dafa. At the end of the exercise demonstration, practitioners told people where they could learn the exercises online, and the local contact information.

An eighty-five-year-old Japanese dancer wished to learn more about Falun Dafa.
Ms. Kobayashi and Ms. Kono followed along with the exercise movements as practitioners demonstrated them.
Ms. Kobayashi asked practitioners why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Dafa. A practitioner told her the Party’s history of persecuting people of faith, it’s fear of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and how it harvests organs from living practitioners. Ms. Kobayashi appreciated the information and said she understood why practitioners expose the persecution.
