(Minghui.org) Brașov residents and tourists once again had the opportunity to learn about the benefits of a way of life based on Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance at the Falun Dafa booth in the city’s old center on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Dafa practitioners demonstrated the exercises and introduced their spiritual discipline to passersby in this mountain town, while also collecting signatures on petitions meant to help stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution.

Many Romanians emphatically supported Falun Dafa and the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Some people even expressed that Falun Dafa could be the solution to the problems that plague today’s society.

“Falun Dafa Gives Us Permission to Think and to Be Free.”

Gabriel Proboteanu said that Falun Dafa is “a movement that develops the spirit, the human body, and allows one to think. It is taught free of charge.”

Gabriel Proboteanu from Piatra Neamț was visiting Brasov when he stopped by the Falun Dafa booth. After he read the information on the banners near the booth, and the fliers practitioners were handing out, he said that he recognized their value.

“It’s what I’ve known for years, a movement that develops the spirit, the human body and allows us to think. It teaches us to be free,” he said, noting that he was familiar with the melody of the practitioners’ exercise music. “I have known [about Falun Dafa] for many years and when I heard the familiar song it moved me emotionally.”

Gabriel said that he felt very close to the values that Falun Dafa teaches—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—and believed that these values resonated with his own understanding of how people should live. He also opined that today’s society “needs these principles very much.” He encouraged practitioners to continue spreading these positive values with their efforts.

“Drop by drop, it forms a river, and it unites our forces and minds and souls. Let us create a river of good and goodness to surround us all. God help us all,” he said.

Before leaving, he signed the practitioners’ three petitions: one to the Romanian government to condemn the persecution, another to the G7+7 nations to stand together to stop the CCP’s brutality, and a final one condemning the CCP’s numerous human rights abuses.

“Everyone Should Decide to Follow the Falun Dafa Principles.”

Ovidiu George Boiangiu has informed himself about Falun Dafa over the years and wanted to add his signature to stop the persecution.

Ovidiu George Boiangiu from Brașov is one of the people who has systematically informed himself over the years in order to understand Falun Dafa. He has kept himself in the know about Dafa practitioners’ situation in China under the CCP’s suppression over the last 25 years.

“I’ve had contact with [Dafa practitioners] before, and I’ve really read a lot. I would like to change everything that is happening in China with these people,” he said.

He stopped by to show his support by signing the petitions.

“I was hoping for much more to be resolved by today,” he said. He expressed his concern about the difficulty of confronting the Chinese communist regime, but also hoped that international public opinion would be strong enough to eventually counter the CCP’s ideological dominance.

Ovidiu considers it imperative to respect the universal values that Falun Dafa brings, as he believes that they can benefit society. “The values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance really need to be implemented in everyday life, and everyone should decide to do so and use them,” he said.

To the practitioners, he said that he wished for them “to continue what you have started and hopefully we can work something out. I hope [the situation] will be better."

“Falun Gong Benefits Individuals and the Public.”

Barbu Andreas Mihai signs the petitions.

Barbu Andreas Mihai stopped by to sign the three petitions and shared his reason for doing so.

“I was attracted to the booth, and especially by the music. But, also the booth itself has vibrant colors. These two flags flying in the wind are unique. It seems to me this persecution is pointless. This Falun Gong practice helps a lot to develop oneself and society at the same time. Because people are calmer, they respect these values, and culture develops,” he said.

Mihai emphasized the importance of the principles upheld by the practitioners. “Falun Dafa values, especially truth, can be implemented by being honest with each other, while compassion and love are very important for long-term relationships. Tolerance is very important, if we all tolerate each other, have compassion for each other and be honest with each other, it would be a very good society,” he said.

He also said he admires the practitioners’ efforts to stand up for their beliefs in the face of oppression, and says that Falun Dafa could fix many of society’s problems. “There need to be more people like you in this world ‘fighting’ for such a noble cause. A lot would change if everyone was like that,” he concluded.

“I Wish Practitioners Around the World All the Best”

Radu Drilea: “I am glad that there are compassionate people who get involved in such activities.” (Brasov, September 14, 2024)

Radu Drilea was walking by the booth when he was drawn by the exercise music and the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance on the practitioners’ displays. “It seemed to me that it is a campaign that can help, and especially that I personally can help someone,” he said.

After finding out about the three principles of Falun Dafa, Radu expressed that these are values crucial for people to get along in society.

“There always needs to be a kernel of truth, it is never right from an ethical and moral point of view [not to have truth]. If you tell the truth, you say everything that is in your heart. Then you are considered a righteous and good, soulful person. Tolerance is a trait that many people should have because if we are more tolerant of others, we help each other. If we were kinder and more tolerant with each other, then we could really understand each other. There’s always a need for love and compassion in dealing with others, for sure,” he said.

Radu also signed all of the practitioners’ petitions, learning that events similar to the one in Brasov are taking place all over the world. “[These petitions] are to stop the persecution of people who believe in these values,” Radu said. “Good luck, I wish [the practitioners] all the best. I am glad that there are compassionate people who are involved in such activities.”
