(Minghui.org) Practitioners participated in the annual Poolesville Day Parade on September 21, 2024. Over ten thousand people were attracted to the celebration in Poolesville, a historic town in northwest Montgomery County, Maryland.
Their elegant float, joyful waist-dram dance, and exercise demonstration were warmly applauded by spectators. Many people visited the Falun Dafa booth and signed a petition calling to end the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa and harvesting organs from living practitioners.

Former Maryland governor Larry Hogan now running for the U.S. Senate, said Poolesville is a great community and one of his favorite places. He happily received a Falun Dafa flyer before the parade started.
Poolesville Commissioner Ed Reed welcomes Falun Dafa practitioners.
Ed Reed, the Poolesville Commissioner and an organizer of the parade, said he appreciated Falun Dafa practitioners for bringing the message of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to Poolesville. “I think it’s the best thing,” he said. “It’s important to promote Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Amy who participated in the parade, gave a Falun Dafa practitioner a big hug. “I like what you are presenting,” and that she had heard about the persecution in China. “It’s the worst thing the Communist Party has done. What you say is true.”
Matt, another resident, read the Falun Dafa flyer he received and said, “I’m sad to hear about the persecution, but Falun Dafa is a good thing. This world needs more compassion and tolerance.”

Tim who works in the fire department, said the Falun Dafa procession in a local parade two years ago impressed him. “It’s beautiful! They have great ideas!”
