(Minghui.org) Over the years, Falun Dafa practitioners outside of China have made consistent efforts to clarify the truth to save sentient beings. After awakening to the facts, many people are grateful to Dafa and Master, and many touching scenes have played out.
Dafa is Spreading in India
An Indian school teacher was traveling with a colleague and eleven students when she saw the Falun Dafa booth and wanted to ask for some informational materials to take back to India. She came over to the truth-clarification booth, and a practitioner told her about Falun Dafa. She said to the practitioner, “Falun Dafa is currently being promoted in India, and many school teachers and students are practicing it. They have benefited both physically and mentally, so Falun Dafa is particularly popular.” She then called her students over, and each one of them accepted some Falun Dafa materials. Before leaving, she repeatedly expressed her gratitude.
The Indian people who come to visit the booth are very friendly, and are willing to receive information about Dafa and listen to practitioners. Some have given practitioners a thumbs up, some have bowed, some have pressed their hands together in front of their chests to greet practitioners with heshi, and some have said tearful thank yous. Their excitement has been indescribable.
Elder Woman’s Leg Stopped Hurting
An elderly American woman came to the site one day, and a practitioner told her about Falun Dafa. When she saw the origami lotus flowers, she was very fond of them, and asked the practitioner if she could get two little flowers, one for her son, and the other for herself. The practitioner fulfilled her wish and told her that the card that accompanies the lotus flower was printed with two auspicious phrases, and that as long as she sincerely and often recites “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” she would be blessed. She reverently joined her hands together and happily recited the phrases aloud.
She couldn’t stand long because of the pain in her leg, so she sat down on a rock next to the site. While admiring the small flower in her hand, she happily recited the two phrases. The practitioner praised her for reciting the phrases so well, and she smiled heartily. She recited them aloud again and again with increasing vigor.
She asked her son to give the practitioner some money, but the practitioner politely declined. She insisted on giving the money, so the practitioner had to accept it, and told her that the money would be used to make more informational materials. The woman was happy and said thank you vigorously!
When they were about to leave, her son told the practitioner, “It’s amazing, my mother said her legs didn’t hurt anymore.” The woman said that she would use her own personal experience to tell everyone how amazing Dafa is.
“I Will Tell the Truth to More People”
A practitioner at the site asked a nearby stall owner one day if he had quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. The stall owner said, “I have quit the CCP and all its affiliated organizations. How many of our compatriots have been killed since the evil Party usurped power? We can’t go back to our homes now, and heaven should have destroyed the CCP a long time ago. I admire you Falun Dafa practitioners so much, as you tell the truth every day to raise awareness, and you endure great hardships. Thank you so much! Like you, I will tell the facts to my customers and persuade them to quit the CCP.”
The stall owner also said, “You are all good people; you have worked hard. I will offer my things here to Falun Dafa practitioners for free!”
“Some of My Family Members Practice Falun Dafa”
A man who immigrated to the United States from China’s Henan Province told practitioners that he watched the news every day and knew that the CCP was lying and deceiving the people.
He said, “The CCP brags about itself, but why do people from all walks of life, regardless of whether they are poor or rich, are government officials or ordinary people, run away from the evil Party and go abroad? The evil Party exaggerates negative things about the United States every day, so why do so many Chinese people come to the United States at the risk of their lives, and abandon their businesses, spending a lot of money and enduring hardships? Who can the evil Party fool?”
He also said, “The people will now also fool the evil Party. There was a conscription in my hometown, and one person was reluctant to join the army. Now people understand that the evil Party officials are corrupt and extravagant. The officials want to make us go to war, but why would we? However, this person’s physical examination results met the minimum requirement, and there was no way he could get away. This person then said, ‘There are people in my family who practice Falun Dafa!’ The person in charge of recruiting crossed out his name, for failing the political review [Translator’s note: Falun Dafa has been persecuted in China for 25 years. If a family member practices Falun Dafa, other members won’t be allowed to join the army or become civil servants]. So he didn’t have to become a soldier. He was very happy. Now those who are conscripted into the army or to join the Party, as long as they are unwilling to work for the CCP or are unwilling to be in the company of it, they say, ‘There are people in my family who practice Falun Dafa!’ It’s more effective than any excuse.” The practitioners and the man laughed.
An Incident Awakens Many Spectators
It was a hot day, and the heat was unbearable. Two Falun Gong practitioners braved the scorching heat and stood at a table at the truth clarification site as usual, passing out Falun Dafa materials, and talking to passersby.
An older man fell to the ground next to a young Falun Gong practitioner, and the sudden situation startled everyone. People gathered around to see what was going on. The old man was lying on the ground with his eyes closed in pain, and his face was covered in blood. Someone shouted, “Take him to the hospital!” An older practitioner said, “Don’t move him, call an ambulance!” A middle-aged American man passing by was very calm and called 911, and then went to the side of the road to meet the ambulance.
Due to the heat, passersby hid in the shade to watch. The older practitioner used a board to shield the old man from the sun, and the younger practitioner said in the old man’s ear, “Please quickly recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’, and our Master will keep you safe!” She took off the sun protective clothing she was wearing, folded it flat, and gently raised the old man’s head and put the clothes under his head. The clothes became soaked in blood.
The man slowly regained consciousness, and the practitioners helped him to sit on a chair, wiped off the blood on him, and one of them held a board to shield him from the sun. The other practitioner used a newspaper to fan the old man to cool him down. They took care of the man while reciting the two phrases in the sun. Everyone around watched quietly.
At some point, someone put up an umbrella for the two practitioners, and it turned out to be the owner of the shop opposite the truth-clarification site. This owner had treated Falun Dafa practitioners in an unfriendly manner and made things difficult for practitioners over the years, but now he had changed, and said gently and repeatedly, “Hurry and put up the umbrella!” The practitioners thanked him, and a smile appeared on his face. He stood by and instructed the practitioners to take care of the old man.
The ambulance finally arrived. After seeing the old man off, some people in the crowd applauded, and the street returned to its usual hustle and bustle. The man who had helped call the ambulance shook hands with the young practitioner and said goodbye, and the practitioner thanked him for his support and help.
The practitioners gave lotus flowers to the shop owner, a clerk who brought water to the practitioners, and to the owner and clerk of another shop, thanking them for their help. They all happily accepted the flowers, saying, “You really help people, and there are not many such good people these days. In the future, just speak up if you need something.”
Everyone spoke happily, and the nervous and dull expressions of the past were gone.
The next day, the two practitioners continued at the site. What was different from the past was that everyone took the initiative to greet them. The shop owner was standing at his door, and after nodding and greeting the practitioners, he quietly watched them set up their display board. This had never happened before. The practitioners smiled and waved at him, and he walked toward them. When the practitioners gave him a flyer, he smiled and said, “I have read it all, I know the truth.”
The other owner who used to have a cold attitude toward practitioners, this time took the initiative to greet the young practitioner and asked, “Little girl, why don’t you go to school instead of standing here every day?” The practitioner replied with a smile, “I have been working for more than ten years after graduating from the university.” He looked at her in astonishment, puzzled.
The next day he came again and asked the practitioner, “Are you really that age? I don’t believe it!” The practitioner said earnestly, “I’m really almost 40 years old. Because I practice Falun Dafa, I look young.” The practitioners then told him more about Falun Dafa.
The clerk, who had delivered the water, and her boss, have been friendly to practitioners, and after the incident they are even nicer.
