Ms. Sun Fenghua, of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested on September 11, 2019. She developed dangerously high blood pressure while in custody and was released the next day. She died three months later, on December 19, 2019.
Five plainclothes officers appeared in front of Ms. Sun’s home on the morning of September 11, 2019. They entered her home and searched around. They not only confiscated Ms. Sun’s cell phone, but also took her family members’ phones and deleted the videos they took of the home raid.
Ms. Sun was taken to the Harbin Railroad Police Department. The police attempted to force her to take them to arrest other Falun Gong practitioners. She refused to comply.
The police took her to the police hospital for a physical examination in the evening and she was found to have extremely high blood pressure. She fainted while on the way to the Harbin City Detention Center and was taken to the hospital for resuscitation. She was released around midnight and died three months later.
