(Minghui.org) I am sixty-two years old. Since I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1995, I have followed the cultivation path for thirty years, witnessing and experiencing countless wonders of Dafa. Here, I would like to share two events I personally experienced, to further validate Dafa.
Brain Tumor Disappeared
At the end of 2018, while I was preparing New Year’s dishes, my eldest daughter, who lives far away in Beijing, called unexpectedly. She told me that her child had developed a headache and had been taken to the hospital, where tests revealed a brain tumor. The doctor advised monitoring the situation because the child was too young for surgery, which carried significant risk. If the tumor grew rapidly, surgery would be necessary; otherwise, they could wait until after the child turned ten.
Since the child was only five years old at the time, I froze in shock upon hearing the news, too stunned to speak. Over the phone, I heard a weak, tearful voice, and my granddaughter sobbed, saying, “Mommy, I’m scared. I don’t want to have the surgery.”
I hurriedly told my daughter, “Don’t worry, quickly recite what I’ve taught you: ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Everything will be fine. Tomorrow is New Year’s Day. Have a good holiday, and after the New Year, you can bring the child to Grandma’s house.”
My granddaughter cried, and my daughter comforted her, saying, “We won’t have the surgery. Your grandmother practices Falun Gong. We’ll ask Master to protect us!”
A couple of days after the New Year, my daughter arrived with her family. As soon as they entered the house, I asked my granddaughter, “Are you still reciting ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’?”
She replied, “Grandma, I’ve been reciting it all along. My mom said as long as we sincerely recite it, Master will protect us, so I don’t have to be afraid of the surgery anymore. My head really feels much better now—it doesn’t hurt much anymore.”
Hearing this made my heart leap with joy. Seeing such a wise and sensible child filled me with both tenderness and affection. I told her, “Master is protecting you. As long as you recite diligently and we all recite for you too, you truly won’t need surgery.” My granddaughter was overjoyed to hear this.
A few days later, the family of three returned to Beijing. Still feeling uneasy, her father took her to Beijing’s Tiantan Hospital for further examination. Specialists there ordered an MRI. After reviewing the images, they concluded that surgery was unnecessary. They reassured him that it wasn’t affecting the child at present, everything was fine, and regular follow-ups would be sufficient.
Still concerned, the father took her to Beijing’s Shijingshan Hospital for a second opinion. The results confirmed the initial diagnosis, finally putting his mind at ease. Afterward, my granddaughter rarely complained of headaches, and they did not return for follow-up appointments.
Six years have passed quickly, and her father again became anxious. He asked me to take my granddaughter back to Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital for another checkup, to find out if the tumor had grown.
When we arrived, the doctor said, “Let’s start with a CT scan!” The CT technician found nothing and asked, “What kind of scan were you told to get?” The father replied, “Six years ago at Tiantan Hospital, they said it was a brain tumor.” The technician responded, “But we didn’t find any tumor!” There was nothing at all!
Her father couldn’t believe the result, so they scheduled an MRI that same afternoon. When the results came back, still no tumor was found. Overjoyed, her father danced around like a child, having truly witnessed the wonder of Dafa!
I asked my granddaughter, “Do you know how this tumor disappeared?” She said, “I know. It was because I recited ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ all the time. Master saved me.”
Now eleven years old, our granddaughter is lively and adorable, pure and kind-hearted, and has consistently excelled in school. She even tells her friends to recite “Falun Dafa is good.” Our entire family is deeply grateful to Master. Only under the compassionate protection of our great Master has she been able to grow up healthy and strong.
A House Saved
On May 9, 2022, my husband and I went to work in the fields. Shortly after we arrived, a neighbor called to say that our house was on fire. We quickly ran home, fervently praying for Master to safeguard our Dafa books and statues from harm.
When we arrived home, I hurried to unlock the door. Thick, acrid smoke immediately billowed out, choking me and leaving me gasping for air. Desperately, I called out to Master for help. I grabbed a bucket, filled it with water, and splashed it onto the flames. The fire subsided, and after another splash, it slowly died out. Deep down, I knew it was Master guiding me through it all.
My husband arrived shortly after. Noticing the thick smoke filling the room, he quickly found a towel, soaked it in water, and covered his face completely before going inside. He opened all the doors and windows to let the smoke out. By then, several neighbors had also arrived and helped extinguish the remaining few flames.
In the end, the fire devastated the entire twenty-plus square meter room. The curtains were reduced to ashes, the window glass shattered, and the fire-retardant ceiling panels were blackened and collapsed onto the floor. The wooden roof beams were left charred, and all the stacked quilts and clothes on the bed were destroyed. Even the wardrobe's headboard on the floor had ignited, and more than ten pounds of cotton batting atop the wardrobe was consumed by the flames.
Remarkably, the cabinet holding the Dafa books remained completely undamaged. The portrait of Master placed atop it stood perfectly intact. Neighbors witnessed firsthand the miraculous and extraordinary nature of Dafa.
The fire was caused by a live power strip placed on the bed. Even though the fire had already spread throughout the house, it was extinguished with just two buckets of water. It was a miracle that the other six rooms in our wooden house were saved!
Our neighbors, visiting relatives, and friends all said, “If you hadn’t been practicing Falun Dafa, this house would have burned down for sure. The consequences are unimaginable!” They cited several instances where electrical fires destroyed homes.
We are deeply aware that it is Master who has protected us and given us a home. Our entire family is profoundly grateful for Master’s compassionate protection. Through earnestly practicing Falun Dafa, we have experienced true joy and happiness, and have gained a deeper appreciation of the profound teachings of Dafa.
