(Minghui.org) Minghui.org previously reported on the abuse of Ms. Wang Jianhui, who is serving a five-year term for her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999. New information has emerged to reveal previously unknown abuse.
Ms. Wang, 53 and a former logistics worker at the Daqing Oil Field General Hospital in Heilongjiang Province, was arrested on November 22, 2020 and sentenced to five years with a 30,000-yuan fine on June 3, 2021. She was admitted to Division 8 of the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on January 7, 2022. She is set to be released on November 22, 2025.
The newly obtained information indicates that in addition to Yue Xiufeng, team captain at Division 8, who was listed as a chief perpetrator in the previous report, several others have also been responsible for Ms. Wang’s ordeal, including instructor Guo Linlin, deputy team head Suo Yuanyuan, and deputy forced labor team head Mou Ning.
It is now confirmed that Ms. Wang was held in Division 8 for one month, during which time the aforementioned perpetrators instructed inmates to abuse her in an attempt to make her renounce Falun Gong. Inmate Yuan Jingfang kicked and punched Ms. Wang at will at all times. One day, several inmates dragged Ms. Wang out of the bathroom. When she shouted “Falun Dafa is good,” they stuffed her mouth with a rag to silence her.
Because Ms. Wang refused to wear the prison uniform, the inmates wrote “Prisoner” on all her clothes, including her undergarment, socks, and jackets. When she refused to put on the clothes, they beat and cursed her.
The inmates also often forced Ms. Wang to sit on one-half of a small stool from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. (when the typical bedtime for other inmates was 9 p.m.). Even blinking her eyes or slightly moving her body during the sitting torture would result in severe beatings. Once, when she couldn’t sit any longer and stood up to move around, the inmates beat her badly. She later refused to sit on the small stool at all and went to bed. The inmates dragged her off the bed and pushed her down on the ground. They took turns in groups of two to watch her and prevent her from going to bed.
This is not the first time that Ms. Wang has been targeted for her faith. She previously served a six-year term (2010-2016) in the same prison and also endured horrendous torture.
