(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners set up an information booth at EXPONATURA 2025 at VIVO Mall Constanța, from October 23 to 26, 2025. On November 1, they held a similar event in the old town center of Brașov. They handed out informational materials to passersby, talked to people, and collected signatures on a petition calling to stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong).

People empathized with practitioners and wanted to help stop the persecution. Some said that if people lived in accordance with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance their lives would be better.
Medical Assistant Agrees with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Practitioners talked to interested people about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, as well as the fact that in China, under the Chinese communist regime, Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted for their belief. Some people said they had heard about Falun Dafa on the Internet.
Pop Mihaela, a medical assistant, said she’s previously heard about Falun Dafa and noted the common spiritual essence shared by both Romanian and Chinese people. “A few years ago, I think before the pandemic, I heard about [Falun Dafa]. I was walking in Tăbăcăriei Park and saw the banner, so I went online and found out what it was about. I believe that Romanians are born with truth, compassion, and tolerance, because our Orthodox faith is based on that.”
She expressed her admiration for Chinese people, but also her surprise that the CCP still enacts such draconian measures against its own people. “I am surprised that after so many years, the Chinese people—who are a wonderful people who have evolved so much—their leaders are unable to stop this slaughter. It is terrible!”
Student: Falun Dafa Could Change Society for the Better
Irina Vatagu at the Falun Dafa stand in Brașov on November 1, 2025
Irina Vatagu, a student at the Faculty of Letters in Brașov, said that the banner and music caught her attention, so she came to the stand. “The first time I heard this music, I wondered what was going on, because you don’t usually see this kind of thing in the city center. Then I started reading the banner and I think it’s a pretty good cause so I signed the petition,” she said. Vatagu sees the values of Falun Dafa as a remedy for a balanced society that benefits its members.
“I believe that if these values were introduced in Romania, we would no longer live in an era of corruption as we do now, and I believe that we would all live a more peaceful and stress-free life. If these values were applied at the societal level, the situation would change completely. It would be good,” she said.
Vatagu considers the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa to be an attack on goodness and humanity. “I find it absolutely tragic that people are persecuted for doing something for their own good and something they enjoy, something that could change society for the better and doesn’t hurt anyone. It’s very bad! I don’t think this should happen for something that brings good,” she said.
Vatagu encourages practitioners to continue spreading their values to the whole world so that people can understand what Falun Dafa really is and support them in stopping the CCP’s persecution. “I think it’s a very good practice and I hope it will continue to be practiced, and I hope this petition will make a difference. I stand with them, and I hope everything will be fine with them, and that they will practice safely and that this persecution will stop, so that they can do good in society,” she said.
This Information Should Be More Widely Disseminated in Universities
Antonia Bulug at the event in Brașov on November 1, 2025
Antonia Bulug, a student at the College of Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences in Cluj came to the booth because she’s interested in signing petitions for causes she can help in some way.
“I read what was written on the banners. I clearly saw the word genocide in red, I saw persecution, and I saw the word communism. We know very well what communism is, so that’s why I was interested. I wanted to know what this is was about. I started asking questions, and I’m going to sign the petition to help stop the persecution,” she said.
“If everyone respected the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, the world would obviously be a better place. At the moment, our society is very polarized and, in my opinion, the political class, not only here but everywhere in the world, is distracting us from true values and real problems, so clearly, these values should be much more emphasized in everyone’s daily life,” she said.
Bulug continued, “The CCP is probably trying to cover up this whole case, but I am very happy to see that there are people who are fighting for human rights, because genocide is not only happening in China, it is happening in many places. This is the first time I’ve heard that there is genocide in China, although I would have had no doubt about it, given that neo-communism is very present there. That’s why we should know more about what’s going on inside their system, even though they are trying to cover everything up.”
She also urged practitioners to expand their outreach activities in universities to catalyze student support.
“I would like to congratulate practitioners who show great courage in carrying out such activities, and I also believe that this information should be more widely disseminated in universities, because students are quite active in terms of human rights, NGOs, and humanitarian issues. I wish you success in promoting this wonderful cause,” she said.
Bulug expressed her empathy for people in China, “I can’t even imagine what those people go through every day, basically all Chinese people, because we only see the good parts, the media only lets us see their technological development, the military, etc., but we don’t know more than that. We don’t know what’s behind it. I am simply speechless and I am so sorry that this persecution is still happening in 2025 in a modern society, where genocide should no longer exist. It breaks my heart just thinking about it. We should raise awareness, because more people should know about this issue.”
