(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities at Place d’Italie and Belleville, in Paris, and in Colmar in Eastern France, on November 8 and 11, 2025, to introduce Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of the practice. Many people talked with practitioners and learned about the human rights violations taking place in China.

November 11 is a public holiday in France. Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in Belleville, demonstrated the exercises, and talked with passersby about the spiritual practice and the CCP’s persecution. Many people signed a petition calling to stop the persecution. Several Chinese people renounced their membership in the CCP and its affiliated youth organizations during the event.
Hugues Descarpentries, a painter, composer and astrologer, talked with practitioners at Belleville. He said this was the first time he’d heard of the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience, and he was shocked. He said he was interested in learning how to do the exercises.
When Mr. Descarpentries heard that Falun Dafa’s guiding principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, he said, “These are values for the whole of humanity to follow. Since the birth of mankind, human consciousness has stagnated, remaining within the same patterns. Humanity has not progressed on a spiritual level. However, some people in the world have already acquired these values; they are more advanced.”
He said that one day in the future, humanity will change and that perhaps we can witness a more advanced human being at a higher spiritual level. He felt that Falun Dafa is a good beginning because it can lead human beings to a higher consciousness.
“However, everyday people do not cultivate. This is why such horrible situations happen in China and Ukraine. We used to think that the terrible things in World War II, including the genocide of the Jews and atomic bombing at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, will probably never happen again. But these are repeating. We can hope that one day on Earth, human beings can have these values [Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance],” Mr. Descarpentries said.
Forced Organ Harvesting Should Not Occur
Agnès Vignard was a high school teacher and later became a nurse. After learning about the CCP’s persecution, she said, “Persecution is against one’s will and is a very violent and cruel act. In countries with human rights, such issues should not occur. Lawyers and jurists work hard to ensure that human rights are respected in each country.
“Persecution is intolerable, especially forced organ harvesting. Such issues should not occur. People are brainwashed to have them believe certain things. For example, in Russia the media is censored. This is spiritual persecution to some extent. Thus, no matter what forms of persecution it is, as a French citizen, I am indignant.”
Mr. Wang from China remarked, “The CCP is very bad and is against humanity.” He said that people should have basic freedom of religious beliefs, which are reasonable human rights. But the CCP persecutes those who have a belief and seek human rights, and even conducts forced organ harvesting for profit or to extend the life of high-level officials. “This is not what human being can do,” said Mr. Wang

Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa and raised awareness of the persecution during an event at Place d’Italie on November 8, 2025. Many people signed the petition against the persecution. Some learned the Falun Dafa exercises and asked about group practice sites.
Suzy, who works in a hospital, shared her thoughts after learning about the persecution: “The persecution is destroying human beings and the whole world. We cannot agree and must object to this. It’s abnormal for people to persecute others. We all live in this world. We should respect each other, and we cannot persecute anyone because they are different.”

Event at Colmar on November 8, 2025
Practitioners in Eastern France conducted activities in the center of Colmar on November 8, 2025. Local residents and tourists learned about Falun Dafa and many signed the petition calling to stop the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.
Colmar is a town in northeastern France and the capital of the Haut-Rhin department with a population of around 70,000.
The city has a rich architectural heritage, including ancient churches, monasteries, theaters, canals (“Little Venice”), and medieval homes. Colmar is a cultural city, and attracts visitors from all over the world year-round.
