(Minghui.org) At least 32 residents in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, were arrested in recent months because they practice Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.
Twenty Falun Gong practitioners were seized in a police sweep on November 2, 2025, with officers from the Yinchuan City Police Department and its subordinate police stations raiding the practitioners’ homes around 8 a.m. that morning.
Another practitioner was arrested the next day. Eleven other practitioners were arrested at unknown times.
20 Arrested on November 2
Twenty residents from various districts of Yinchuan City were arrested on November 2. Some of them were released while others remain in detention or their case status is unknown.
10 in Xingqing District
It is unclear whether Mr. Li Shilin and his wife Ms. Zhu Lin, Ms. Shen Dongmei, Mr. Xie Yiqiang, Ms. Li Jinhua and her daughter are still detained following their arrests. Police pried open Ms. Shen’s door before they arrested her. They also put a police seal on Mr. Li’s and Ms. Zhu’s door.
Mr. Zhao Hengde and Mr. Zhao Lin were released within 24 hours.
Ms. Yang Xuehong was arrested at home at noon by more than ten officers. Her home was raided. She was held at the Daxin Town Police Station for seven days before she was released. Her husband, Mr. Liu Haixiong, was arrested on the same day while on his way to work, by officers from the Lijing Street Police Station. He was released after he was detained for seven days.
5 in Jinfeng District
Mr. Shan Jining and Mr. Wang Xiangchen were released within 24 hours.
It is unclear whether Mr. Chen Baozhong and his wife Ms. Li Lanfeng are still detained following their arrests.
Ms. Mao Minwu is still detained at an unknown facility. On the morning of her arrest, her son received a call from the Jinfeng District Police Department asking about her. He visited his mother’s home that night and saw her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books and informational materials about Falun Gong were missing.
5 in Xixia District
Ms. Si Yurong was released within 24 hours. Her daughter was also arrested but her detention status is unknown.
Mr. Song Jing and his wife Ms. Chen Yulan were released after 13 and 10 days of detention, respectively.
It is unclear whether Ms. Chen Xueying is still detained following her arrest.
1 Arrested on November 3
Ms. Sun Yajuan’s home was raided on the afternoon of November 3. After police found Falun Gong books, they took her to the Sanshayuan Police Station and didn’t release her until ten days later. It is unclear which district Ms. Sun is from.
11 With Unknown Arrest Times and District Information
In addition to the above practitioners, the following practitioners were also recently arrested (the exact dates are unknown). One of them is still detained. It is unclear which districts they live in.
Ms. Luo Xinping (wife of Mr. Wang Xiangchen), Ms. Wang Yuxiang, Mr. Wang Yuzhou, and Yan (first name and gender unknown) were released within 24 hours.
Ms. Zhang Jianping was released after seven days of detention.
Mr. Cai Guojun and Mr. Zhang Xiaoping were released after eight days of detention.
Ms. Li Yiping was released after ten days of detention.
Mr. Jiang Tao and Ms. Zhu Haiyan were released after an unknown duration of detention.
Mr. Hu Jiancai is still detained at an unknown location.
