(Minghui.org) Over the past few years, I’ve observed through my interactions with fellow practitioners that harmony in Fa-study groups is not always maintained easily, as practitioners may harbor resentments, be judgmental, and disdain one another. Such emotions and behaviors arise from human attachments and a lack of regard for the Fa-study group improving together in cultivation as one body.
Maintaining the integrity of the Fa-study group is a shared responsibility. Master taught us that cultivation doesn’t follow rigid rules about who must do what, but, as practitioners, we ought to be aware of the true significance of a Fa-study group and responsibly do our part well to form one body.
Cultivating and Improving in the Fa-Study Group
To me, functioning as a whole body means that every individual is essential, and together we form an indestructible collective. Dafa practitioners come together not to form cliques or engage in personal attachments but to cultivate as one. Although I host a Fa-study group in my home, I cannot treat it as a personal affair by inviting or excluding certain people based on my preference. Practitioners who participate in the Fa-study should attend regularly, without being swayed by personal notions.
We should be grateful to those who open their homes for Fa-study, given the inconvenience. We must be mindful to avoid Party culture behavior. We must speak quietly, be courteous, and observe cleanliness. When ordinary people are present in the home, we should be especially aware of our conduct and not leave a negative impression of Dafa.
Conflicts among practitioners are inevitable, but they are also opportunities for improvement. Our foundation must be rooted in compassion and mutual support. We are here to encourage, elevate, and help one another. Yet some practitioners look down on others who appear to have attachments. They criticize others’ shortcomings and what others say or do, without realizing that what they observe are reflections of themselves that were intended to guide them to look within. Master asks us to examine ourselves, not others. When we point out others’ flaws, we may unknowingly be highlighting our own.
Some practitioners struggle with illness karma, attachments, or tribulations. Rather than observe or criticize them from a distance, we should offer understanding and support. Regardless of our ability to help the practitioner, perhaps the true purpose of seeing the situation is not to assist, but to see the issue and reflect on our own cultivation, as we are cultivating in delusion.
These situations are part of our path to improvement. When we observe attachments in others, we must reflect on whether those same tendencies exist within ourselves. If we are tempted to judge the fellow practitioner too quickly, if we fear that their issues might interfere with our own cultivation, or if we feel superior when offering help and believe we are more capable, these are all signs of deviation from the righteous path. Such thoughts place personal ability above the Fa, forgetting that it’s the Fa that shapes and guides us.
Nothing in cultivation is accidental. Master arranges practitioners in each Fa-study group purposefully. These connections are not random but rooted in causality and divine intention.
Forming One Body
Falun Dafa practitioners must carefully maintain one body. Think of the scene in the film, “Once We Were Divine,” where practitioners unite to eliminate the evil dragon. It illustrates the power of functioning as one body.
When we send forth righteous thoughts together, the energy is magnified. If we harbor dislike and walk away, refusing to participate in a Fa-study group, we weaken the group. One leaves unhappy today, another one does the same tomorrow, and those who remain watch passively, believing it’s not their concern. I did that kind of thing, and I feel deeply ashamed at lacking a sense of responsibility and forgetting my role in our one body.
Though cultivation appears to be an individual affair on the surface, we are interconnected in other dimensions. Our dimensional fields influence one another. For example, righteous thoughts will strengthen us, while negative thoughts will also affect us. If we cling to conflict, the old forces exploit our division, seeking to dismantle us. We cultivate not just for ourselves, but to better assist Master in Fa-rectification.
Assisting Master is a collective mission. Master enables us to act as an individual Fa particle and as one body. When the group operates together as one body, we must do so harmoniously. However, each practitioner can also contribute individually by sending forth righteous thoughts and involving their divine side to help clarify the facts about Dafa to others.
This sharing reflects my personal understanding from participating in my Fa-study group. If anything is not in line with the Fa, please kindly point it out.
