(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners celebrated the 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year in Puebla, Mexico, sharing the ancient Chinese spiritual practice and garnering public support to end the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. Many attendees stopped by the information tables at the event, where they discovered Falun Dafa—a practice that cultivates the body and mind. They also learned about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

On the afternoon and evening of Wednesday, January 29, practitioners in Mexico welcomed the Chinese New Year in downtown Puebla and shared traditional Chinese culture. In the Zócalo, the main square of Puebla’s historic center, located in the garden in front of the government palace and the colonial cathedral, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. They also told people about the discipline’s benefits for physical and spiritual well-being.

They also engaged with the audience, explaining the meaning of the core principles of the discipline — Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They shared that these principles are deeply explained in Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa.

Many people said they were appalled at the CCP’s decades-long persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and expressed their support to stop the brutality. They also condemned the CCP’s forced organ harvesting from practitioners in China. Many signed the petition, launched by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), calling for an end to the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.
Young people, students, university attendees, government employees, and families expressed their support for DAFOH’s petition. One man who said he was a communist, but said he was unaware of these crimes happening in China. He was deeply interested in learning more about the situation and asked practitioners for leaflets and informational materials.
