(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhi Zhanmin Tried Again
The second hearing of Mr. Zhi Zhanmin by the Gaoyang County Court was scheduled at the Baoding Detention Center on the morning of February 11, 2025. His first hearing was held on December 10, 2024.
2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yan Arrested
Ms. Li Yan of Zhucheng City, in her 50s, was arrested at home by Domestic Security Division officers on the morning of February 6, 2025. Her home was ransacked.
3. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Guaiyan Awaits Verdict After Two Court Hearings
Ms. Wang Guaiyan was tried by the Jintai District Court on September 25 and October 28, 2024. She is still awaiting the verdict at the detention center.
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Hongyun and His Wife Ms. Gou Shaofan Detained
Mr. Liu Hongyun lives in the Wujia Street neighborhood in Shuangcheng District, Harbin. He and his wife, Ms. Gou Shaofan, planned to spend Chinese New Year with their son’s family in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. But they were searched and arrested when they checked in the Harbin West Railway Station on January 19, 2025. The police raided their home at night, confiscating a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, paper currencies with Falun Gong messages printed on them, a computer, a desk calendar, and keepsake cards.
The couple were taken to Harbin City Detention Center on January 20, 2025, at 3:30 a.m. They were released on January 25, 2025.
5. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Shunming Under Surveillance
Mr. Liu Shunming, of Maqiao Town, Minhang District, was under close surveillance from January 12-19, 2025.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Dr. Li Lixia Tried and Awaits Verdict
Dr. Li Lixia, 30, was tried by the Qiaoxi Court on November 20, 2024. Two attorneys entered not guilty for her. The court has yet to issue a ruling.
Dr. Li was arrested at home by Zhentou Police Station officers on the evening of March 25, 2024. They accused her of wiping out the content of a poster board displayed by the Qiaoxi District Political and Legal Affairs Committee with information defaming Falun Gong messages.
The police tracked her and ransacked her place. Her Falun Gong books, notebooks, collections, Minghui Weekly, discs, books, and other items were confiscated. Officer Yang Kun of Zhentou Police Station later submitted her case to the Qiaoxi District Procuratorate, which approved her arrest and indicted her.
7. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Lose Their Appeals
Mr. Lin Hongjie, 74, Mr. Xie Qingcai, 70, and Ms. Fang Ruiqin, 74, were sentenced to eight, five, and three years, respectively, on May 20, 2024. They appealed, but the Yantai City Intermediate Court ruled to uphold their original verdicts. Ms. Fang was taken to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison in September 2024. Mr. Lin and Mr. Xie were admitted to the Shandong Province Prison in October 2024.
