(Minghui.org) An incapacitated woman is facing frequent harassment and threats by two judges to be taken back into custody to serve a four-year term for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Xu Xiuyun, of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, was arrested on December 8, 2023, while putting up posters about Falun Gong in a residential area. Officers of the Harbin Road Police Station searched her and found her ID. They next raided her older daughter’s home, where she was staying to help care for her grandchild. Her printer, laptop, cell phone, media player, and Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was taken to the Dalian City Detention Center the next day.

After eight months of detention, Ms. Xu was suddenly taken to a room in the detention center and made to attend a virtual hearing.

A few days after the hearing, Ms. Xu kept vomiting after meals. The detention center doctor gave her IV drips, but she began to experience severe tightness in her chest. The doctor removed the needle and took her to the hospital for resuscitation.

During Ms. Xu’s two-week stay in the hospital, she was forced to wear shackles the entire time. Despite her condition, the Pulandian Court still took her to the courthouse and sentenced her to four years.

Ms. Xu wrote three letters to appeal the verdict but didn’t receive any response. One month after she was taken back to the detention center from the hospital, she was found to have dangerously high blood pressure and her hands were unable to hold a cup. Several inmates force-fed her blood pressure pills. Shortly after, the left side of her body began to twitch and she was taken to the hospital for resuscitation again. A few days later, she completely lost her mobility and became incontinent. The detention center contacted her family and released her on medical parole.

Since December 25, 2024, judges Wang Dongdong and Liu Jianzhuang of the Pulandian Court frequently called Ms. Xu or went to her home, threatening to take her into custody to serve time.
