(Minghui.org) Local practitioners held an event in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie on Saturday, April 12, 2025, to introduce Falun Dafa. They also told people how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the spiritual discipline in China and collected signatures to help stop the brutality.
Saint Gilles Croix de Vie in Vendée is a lively seaside resort town boasting 3.5 km (2.2 miles) of fine sandy beaches and a large fishing port.
Practitioners held an information day in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
When they arrived and began setting up the stand, a young man stopped and read a display board about the persecution in China. A practitioner told him, “We’re holding an event to inform the public about the persecution and the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners, to break the silence that has persisted for so long.” The young man said, “I want to sign the petition because what you’re doing is very good. It’s good to do something to save lives.” He signed the petition before the table was even set up.
A practitioner approached a couple to give them a flyer and asked them to sign the petition. They said they had already received a flyer. The practitioner continued to ask people passing by to sign the petition. Suddenly, the couple returned, and the woman said, “I’m going to sign the petition to stop organ trafficking!” She and her husband signed the petition. The practitioner asked them to help spread this information to their loved ones and friends and encourage them to sign the online petition. The woman told the practitioner that what she was doing was good and wished her luck.
The signs and posters were visible from afar, so people driving near the booth had time to read them, as the traffic was very heavy and they had to stop frequently.
In the afternoon, many people approached the booth to learn more about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. Many were not familiar with Dafa or the CCP’s persecution.
More People Sign the Petition
Hugo from Paris said he went to China twice a year for work. He buys things in China and resells them in France. He said that in China, he couldn’t do what he wanted, and it annoyed him. He was shocked to learn that the CCP has persecuted Falun Dafa for 26 years, but he said it didn’t surprise him, given that it’s a totalitarian regime.
A couple was very surprised when they read the signs. The woman said she had never heard of the persecution of Falun Dafa, even though she worked for Amnesty International. She asked for any documents that might help her understand. She said she read all the headlines about what was happening around the world and that she did many things to secure the release of prisoners in China, but that she was never asked to secure the release of Falun Dafa practitioners.
The couple said they repeatedly traveled to China and other Asian countries, yet the woman said it was the first time she had heard of this persecution orchestrated by the CCP. The husband said it hardly surprised him because the CCP is a dictatorship. The couple was interested in learning the practice and took contact information for practitioners near them. They also said they would go see the documentary film State Organs, which would soon be shown in the region.
Christine, 67, who travels from city to city with her backpack, thought it was time she settled down and figured out how to be useful in this world. She was very moved when she opened Zhuan Falun and saw Master’s picture. She said that her entire body vibrated, and she felt a very powerful energy. She immediately bought the book.
A woman from Pakistan said that in her country, she was aware of the existence of organ harvesting from children, which is organized by the mafia. She was stunned to learn that this existed in China on such a scale and that it was carried out by the CCP. Before leaving, she signed the petition against forced organ harvesting and thanked practitioners for informing people. She said she would find out more on the website.
A family consisting of parents, grandparents, and three children wanted to know more about the persecution. Alice, an 11-year-old girl, asked the most questions and didn’t want to leave; she wanted to learn more.
She asked: Why is the Chinese government doing this? Why do they torture innocent people? Are these real hospitals doing this? Are these real doctors doing this? Why is this government so evil? Why don't other countries do something to stop the Chinese government from harming people who practice Falun Dafa?
A practitioner talked to a group of about ten young men in their twenties. She told them about the petition and invited them to sign it to help stop the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, but the young men declined. Two seconds later, a young man came back to the practitioner and said, “What!! What is this!!!” Finally, the whole group listened to the practitioner, and they all signed the petition.
Practitioners talked to many people, and more than 130 people signed the petition.
