(Minghui.org) Four residents in Jiuzhai Township, Mengyin County, Shandong Province, were admitted to prison on March 26, 2025 for their faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.
Mr. Yang Yudong, 84, was sentenced to four years in 2025. It is unclear when he was arrested or which court convicted him.
Mr. Ma Fumin, 77, Mr. Wang Zaigong, 83, and Zhao Shenglian, 76 and whose gender is unknown, were all indicted by the Yinan County Procuratorate on April 1, 2024 and stood trial on May 14. It is unclear when they were arrested or whether they were tried jointly or separately. The trio was then convicted by the Yinan County Court on June 27, 2024.
Mr. Ma was sentenced to two years and fined 20,000 yuan. Mr. Wang was sentenced to three years with five years of probation and a 30,000-yuan fine. Zhao was sentenced to three years with four years of probation and fined 20,000 yuan.
The four practitioners were admitted to various prisons in Shandong Province on March 26, 2025.
