(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Li Tried
Ms. Li Li’s son received a call from the Yunhe District Court on the morning of April 8, 2025, and was told that his mother would be tried at the Cangzhou City Detention Center the following morning.
2. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Ying Arrested
Ms. Xu Ying from Quanyang Town was arrested some time in early April 2025. She is being held in Baishan City Detention Center.
3. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Fu Renjiang Arrested
Mr. Fu Renjiang, 57, was arrested by officers from the Qixin Police Station on February 11, 2025. He is being held in the Huadian City Detention Center.
4. [Chibi City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhong Xiaoming Displaced
Mr. Zhong Xiaoming, a native of Chibi City who lived in Wuhan, was harassed by the police in Wuhan City on April 2, 2025. While he escaped being arrested, he has been forced to live away from home to hide from the police.
5. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Held in Detention Center
Mr. Wang Yuguo, Ms. Ji Xiangshou, and Mr. Zhao Yuming were taken to the local detention center in early April 2025.
6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Among the more than ten practitioners in Zhifu District who were arrested on May 9, 2024, four have been sentenced by the Zhifu District Court and taken to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison in the capital city of Jinan to serve time.
Ms. Liu Wenping, 66, was sentenced to one year and fined 5,000 yuan in October 2024; Mr. Yang Xingrong, 78, was sentenced to one year and three months and fined 8,000 yuan in December 2024; Ms. Wang Li, in her 60s, was sentenced to four years and fined 20,000 yuan in December 2024; and Ms. Li Zhenna, 71, was sentenced to five years and fined 25,000 yuan in March 2025.
7. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhu Yujun Suffers Severe Medical Condition Due to Torture in Prison
Mr. Zhu Yujun, who was taken to the Gongzhuling Prison on December 18, 2024 to serve a four-year term, has developed a severe medical condition due to torture he suffered previously at the Shulan City Detention Center. He struggles with heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. Mr. Zhu is now held in the Gongzhuling Public Security Hospital and his family has applied for medical parole for him.
8. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Wu Qing and His Wife Ms. Kong Pinglan Released from Prison
Mr. Wu Qing and his wife Ms. Kong Pinglan were reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials in February 2020. They were arrested by six officers from the Changqing Police Station in Panlong District on March 20, 2020. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer, and some discs.
It’s recently been confirmed by Minghui.org that Mr. Wu was sentenced to one year and three months and fined 3,000 yuan; and Ms. Kong was sentenced to two years and fined 4,000 yuan. Their son was forced to drop out of school at the age of 16. Both Mr. Wu and Ms. Kong have been released after serving their terms.
9. [Chongqing] Mr. Li Dajiu and His Wife Ms. Dong Juyun Taken to Prison
Mr. Li Dajiu, and his wife Ms. Dong Juyun, from Wanzhou District, both 78, were each sentenced to two years and fined 6,000 yuan by the Kaizhou District Court on August 2, 2024. Their “crime” was printing informational materials about Falun Gong. Mr. Li was admitted to the Yongchuan Prison and Ms. Dong to the Chongqing Women’s Prison in January 2025.
10. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wen Guoxiang Arrested
Ms. Wen Guoxiang, nearly 70, was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers market on March 26, 2025. She was arrested by officers from the Daotou Police Station. At the police station, Ms. Wen was forced to fingerprint the paperwork. The officers also forcibly collected her blood sample. Due to health reasons, she was released that evening.
11. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Han Wei Faces Indictment
Mr. Han Wei, a native of Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested in Jidong County by police from Nantong City, Jiangsu Province on March 28, 2024. He was taken to Nantong on March 30, 2024 and released on bail on April 30, 2024. The police recently submitted his case to the Nantong City Procuratorate.
12. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. He Shengqiang Harassed
Officer Liu from the Gangkou Town Police Station in Chaisang District and two Gangkou Township government employees went to Mr. He Shengqiang’s home on the afternoon of March 26, 2025. As he was not in, the officers ordered his wife to persuade him to renounce Falun Gong.
13. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Three Teachers Not Allowed to Teach Classes
Mr. Li Mincai, Mr. Zheng Shuanghua, and Ms. Yan Qin, who work at Hubei University of Technology, were suddenly suspended from teaching classes in February 2025.
