(Minghui.org) On the morning of April 14, 2025, I wrote this year’s May 13 World Falun Dafa Day essay with a heart full of immense gratitude to Master.
Below, I will share some of my experiences and insights from the past two years spent using my spare time telling the truth to the American people and demonstrating that Dafa is saving lives in these final days.
Young American Communists Sign Petition to End the Chinese Communist Party
One day, after work, I arrived at the station to tell people the truth. A young man in his twenties was sitting on the ground, waiting for the bus. I walked over and asked him to sign a petition calling for the end of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was very polite, but replied, “No, I’m a communist.”
I was shocked and wanted to walk away, thinking it would be too difficult to explain the facts to him. Maybe I should move on to someone else. However, I did not leave. The wisdom I had cultivated from Dafa guided me, and I said very naturally, “It’s okay. I used to think like that, too.”
When he heard this, his expression showed some interest. I continued, “I am Chinese, and everyone living in Communist China is forced to join the Communist Party’s affiliated organizations from a young age.”
I told him that I practiced Falun Dafa, then showed him a flyer about how Falun Dafa practitioners were being persecuted in China and how the CCP was harvesting their organs while they were still alive.
He looked stunned; he had been shown the true nature of the CCP, and it shocked him. Then he asked, “But capitalism has its flaws too, right?” I replied, “Yes, but in the United States, you have freedom of speech. You can say what you think is good or bad. However, you don’t have the right to express yourself like that in China.”
“What do you want? He asked.”
“It’s simple: I don’t want organs to be harvested from living people; I don’t want human rights to be trampled on.”
After hearing me out, he signed the petition to end the Chinese Communist Party and took the flyer I offered him. I suggested that he watch the documentary “How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World,” which was linked on the flyer, when he had time.
I have met many young people in the United States who identify as communists. The distorted fallacies of communism can be very confusing, leading many to reconsider once they see the evil truth about the Chinese Communist Party. People in a free society also urgently need the truth.
Thank You for Clarifying the Facts
A few days ago, I met an elderly couple who looked like traditional Americans. They quickly signed the petition to support ending the evil CCP. I took out a Shen Yun flyer and prepared to talk to them about the show. Unexpectedly, the woman said that the company mistreated its staff.
I felt very sad when I heard that. I told them that the CCP was using the American media to spread rumors and attack Shen Yun, an American company, and that one reporter’s father worked for the CCP’s United Front Work Department. The elderly couple recognized this as the CCP’s usual tactic and thanked me for clarifying things for them.
When sharing the facts with the public, I also talk about some legal principles. When I inform Americans about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa, they sympathize with practitioners but hesitate to sign a petition supporting the dissolution of the Party.
Hence, I also tell people how the CCP is exporting fentanyl to the United States, resulting in nearly 300 Americans dying daily from fentanyl overdoses. This information often moves many people to sign the petition.
Once, there was a gentleman who hesitated to sign the petition. I sensed that he felt the human rights abuses in China did not concern him, and he wasn’t sure if he should sign. I explained the fentanyl issue. He replied, “Americans are so foolish, being poisoned by the CCP.” I said, “No, Americans aren’t foolish; it’s that the CCP is evil. Its evil nature is beyond imagination.” After hearing this, he quickly took the pen and signed the petition to end the CCP.
Later, I recalled this individual. His views were similar to those of some Falun Dafa practitioners who developed sickness karma as a result of being persecuted by the old forces. Not knowing the evil nature of the old forces, they acknowledged their issues and accepted the old forces’ “punishment.” To me, when Dafa practitioners reject the old forces, it is similar to Americans rejecting the CCP’s exportation of fentanyl. Evil has never wanted you to survive from the get-go; it feeds you poison, and unknowingly accepting it means certain death.
Dafa disciples should conduct themselves with dignity and integrity, aligning their actions with the Fa. If they find themselves doing things that are not in line with the Fa, they should correct themselves within the Fa and assimilate into it. This is what Master Li wants.
The general public should return to a traditional life filled with dignity and integrity, following the path indicated by the divine. When individuals discover any dark or negative thoughts within themselves, they should repent to the divine, seek divine assistance, eliminate these dark thoughts, distance themselves from evil, and draw closer to the divine.
Guided by Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, I continued talking with people and, over the past two years, dedicated my spare time to collecting 40,000 signatures to end the CCP.
Master told us:
“For a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, personal liberation is not the goal of cultivation: when you came, saving sentient beings was your great aspiration, and that is the responsibility and mission history has bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification. Thus great numbers of beings are to be saved by you. Dafa disciples, don’t forsake the magnificent responsibility that has been bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification, and even less should you disappoint those beings, as you are now their only hope for entering the future. For this reason, all Dafa disciples, students both new and veteran, should get to work and begin comprehensively clarifying the truth.” (Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World’s People, The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)
People need to learn about the true nature of communism, the destructive consequences it brings, and how it infiltrates the free world.
