(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Rui Sentenced to Two Years

6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Pan Gang Denied Medical Parole Despite Cancer Diagnosis
7. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xuehua Detained
1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Rui Sentenced to Two Years
Ms. Shi Rui was tried by the Yunhe District Court on February 25, 2025. Her lawyer was informed on March 25 that she was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. She was admitted to the Hebei Province Women’s Prison in the capital city of Shijiazhuang on April 17.
2. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Xiuqin Sentenced to Three Years
Ms. Zheng Xiuqin was arrested by Dongsan Police Station officers on August 30, 2024 and her home was ransacked. She was detained for 15 days in the Gongzhuling City Detention Center and later sentenced to three years by the Gongzhuling City Court at an unknown time. She was admitted to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison on March 21, 2025 and has been denied family visits.
3. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested
Six practitioners from the Bayuquan District talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Jiuzai Street Market on the morning of April 21, 2025. Police tracked and arrested them. Ms. Chen Fengjuan was released in the afternoon. Mr. Liu Guohui was released the next day because of a medical condition. The other four, including driver Jin, Meng, Bo, and Dai, were taken to the Yingkou City Detention Center.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Li Muzhen, who lives in Zhongjie Village, Ciyutuo Town, Luanzhou City, was harassed at home by officer Ouyang Zhanchun and others from the Ciyutuo Town Police Station on April 15, 2025. They photographed her against her will. Afterward, they went to Ms. Zhao Xiuying’s and Ms. Li Guiying’s homes in Xijie Village, where they harassed and photographed them.
5. [Shanghai] Four Practitioners Under Surveillance
Ms. You Xiuyun, Ms. Cai Yufang, Ms. Shao Hongzhen, and Ms. Qian Xiujuan noticed that police and 610 Office agents have been staked outside their homes to monitor them since April 22, 2025.
6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Pan Gang Denied Medical Parole Despite Cancer Diagnosis
Mr. Pan Gang is serving a four-year term at the Jilin Province Prison. He was recently found to have advanced-stage cancer and the doctor recommended against chemotherapy. Yet the prison still refuses to grant him medical parole.
7. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xuehua Detained
Ms. Zhang Xuehua of Haidian District was arrested in mid-April 2025. She is being held in a detention center.
