(Minghui.org) Practitioners held a rally and parade in Vancouver’s city center on May 3, 2025, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. They also wished their founder, Master Li, a happy birthday. Many local residents and tourists praised the events.
May 13, 2025 is the 33rd anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction. Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and has benefited millions of people by improving their health and morals.

Practitioners held a rally on the south side of the city center art gallery, and in the afternoon, they paraded on the main street in central Vancouver to celebrate Falun Dafa Day. The parade was led by the Tian Guo Marching Band, followed by the banner team, an exercise demonstration team, and the waist drum team. They passed by the bustling commercial streets, the Five Sails Hotel, and other landmark buildings. Many locals and tourists stopped to watch and take photos.
Spectators Praise Falun Dafa

Farideh Sheikh watched the parade, and said, “Seeing these people makes me feel calm and comfortable. I think this celebration is very important.
“I think Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are great. They show people peace and kindness. It’s very good.
“Life is stressful nowadays, and I think health is very important. Technology has made people distant from each other. People are less kind and tolerant nowadays. Everyone is seeking money, and no one cares about anything else,” she said.
“It’s important to regain peace, kindness, and tolerance. The world we live in now is not friendly or peaceful.” She said she wanted to learn how to practice Falun Dafa.
Lyn from Australia watched the parade and liked it very much. “I think it’s great. The values of sincerity and kindness they follow can make people more humane, and make us care more about others instead of just ourselves.
“We should accept others, sympathize with, and respect others, because we are all human,” she said. “We all have needs and ideas. We should have good morals as human beings. This is very important. If we don’t have these values, it’s hard for us to be human beings.”
This was the first time Carrie Lee had heard about Falun Dafa. She said, “I believe this is very important. Culture can save lives. The world needs kindness. We need love and empathy. Look at our current situation. I believe love can overcome everything.”
