(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Western France held an event at the Piazza Napoleone in La Roche-sur-Yon on June 7, 2025, to introduce Falun Dafa.
They demonstrated the exercises and displayed posters and exhibition boards, distributed fliers, and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the persecution of the spiritual practice in China.
Public buses passed by the area all day, and many tourists were drawn to the practitioners’ booth and posters. They stopped to learn more about Falun Dafa and sign the petition.
La Roche-sur-Yon has many buildings that date back to the Napoleonic era, and the city has a population of fifty thousand people. Combined with neighboring areas, the population is about one hundred thousand. La Roche-sur-Yon has a rich historic and cultural heritage.

People Sign a Petition to Call for an End to the Persecution
Many people learned about the persecution of Falun Dafa and signed the petition to end it.
Dako was riding his bicycle when he noticed the event. He stopped to read the display boards. He was shocked to learn that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is killing Falun Dafa cultivators in order to sell their organs, and said, “I just came from Algeria, where I heard some children who passed away had their organs harvested. Similar things happened to vagrants and people who are mentally disabled. This was done by gangsters and it was really scary. However, in China this is done by a government. This is unimaginable! What kind of world are we living in? Hearing this makes me frightened. Thank you for providing this information. I didn’t know about it before this. I will sign the petition that calls for an end to the persecution.”
A soldier signed the petition and said he knew about the things happening in China and thinks the CCP should be held accountable for this genocide. He explained that his father’s wife is Chinese. She knows the CCP is bad, but she’s worried that it may take revenge on her family in China, so she won’t talk about the persecution. He took some informational materials for his parents.
A couple that just moved from La Réunion said that they knew about the persecution in China. Their son had dealings with China years ago. He told them there is no freedom there and everything is controlled. Many things are also hidden. They signed the petition that calls for the persecution to end.
A couple brought their three children to the booth so that they could learn about the persecution and forced organ harvesting. The couple said they knew that the Chinese communist regime is a dictatorship, but they didn’t realize how much people in China were suffering because of the CCP. They said that people should not have any expectations for this dictatorship. One of their daughters is in the third year of her medical studies. When she learned that Chinese doctors may kill people to harvest their organs, she was shocked. They all signed the petition that calls for the persecution to end.
A Falun Dafa practitioner met a man whose arm was injured. The man said that he was in a hurry, but after hearing the explanation, he signed the petition that calls for an end to the persecution. Not long after that, he called four boys, who were standing to one side, to come and listen to this practitioner’s explanation about why they collected signatures at the venue. After that, he left. The four boys listened to the practitioner’s explanation quietly. After learning about the truth and getting the flier, the practitioner suggested that they share this information with their parents, teachers and friends.
Many people said they had previously known nothing about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. After learning the truth, they signed the petition to call for the persecution to end.
Two ladies from La Roche-sur-Yon said they wanted to learn the exercises. After they signed the petition, they said this was the most basic thing they could do to counteract this injustice.
Documentary About China’s Forced Organ Harvesting
Mr. Karim from Amnesty International came to the booth and talked with practitioners. A practitioner explained why they held the event in La Roche- sur-Yon—to tell people about the persecution of Falun Dafa so that practitioners could exercise their right to practice in China.
When the practitioner told him that they hoped to show a documentary about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, Mr. Karim said they screen documentaries about human rights issues as part of their Amnesty International activities.
He gave practitioners the address of a local cinema and explained that the management looked for these types of documentaries, “This cinema’s manager is very concerned about human rights.”
