(Minghui.org) In 1999, former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Jiang Zemin blustered that he would “eliminate Falun Gong within three months.” To carry out this goal, he established the extrajudicial “610 Office.” (It is widely believed that the office was named after the date of its founding on June 10, 1999.)
But the moment the CCP decided to persecute Falun Gong, the regime’s failure became inevitable. This article shows a selection of the support that Falun Gong has received since the persecution began. The data are sourced from Minghui.org, a website launched by Falun Gong practitioners to counter the persecution.
According to Minghui statistics, Falun Gong has received about 13,000 proclamations, letters of support, and resolutions around the world during the past 26 years of persecution. Among them, over 7,400 (or about 57%) came from federal and state-level elected officials in the United States. Below are summarized data from the U.S. and around the world.
