(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrated the exercises, distributed fliers, and told people about Falun Dafa in Leeuwarden, the capital city of Friesland in the Netherlands on June 21, 2025. They were well-received by tourists and residents alike. Many people signed a petition opposing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting.

People sign a petition to show their support for Falun Dafa after learning about the CCP’s persecution.
Leeuwarden is a big city in the north of the Netherlands with a population of nearly 130,000 people. Due to its unique Frisian language and cultural heritage, Leeuwarden was awarded the title of European Capital of Culture in 2018 and was ranked the number one travel destination city in the Netherlands in 2019.
Police: You Are Peaceful, We Welcome You to Come Again
On this summer afternoon, people sat quietly and comfortably in the restaurants beside the canal bridge to have their meals, as they enjoyed the sunlight. Falun Dafa practitioners’ gentle exercise demonstration attracted many people to pause and watch. People asked if they could find a practice site in Leeuwarden, and some expressed interest in the exercise movements.
Police officers, who were patrolling on the streets, were also drawn to the booth. After completing their usual routine check, they gave the thumbs up and said, “Alles goed (All is good)!” and praised the practitioners, “You are peaceful. We welcome you to come again!”

Tourists Sign the Petition to Support an End to the Persecution
A young Dutch man passed by the Falun Dafa practitioners’ display board and came over to ask about the content. When he learned about the CCP’s persecution, he signed the petition to show his support for Falun Dafa practitioners and then explained the content of the display board to two young ladies who were passing by. The two ladies also signed the petition.
Mr. Kosmi came from Iran. After he signed the petition to show his support, he brought a friend over and explained the content of the fliers to his friend and asked him to sign the petition to show his support too. He said, “I am very thankful to you all for doing such a thing here!”

Ms. Arjnne and her husband, Mr. Boss, came to the petition table when the event was about to end. They said that they had seen a Falun Dafa truth-clarification site when they were touring in England and already had some understanding about the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Ms. Arjnne said, “This [live organ harvesting] is too scary. This is being disrespectful to the human body and human life. Everyone should come and help to stop such a frightening matter.”
“The three words Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are very good. I really like these principles. I feel that people should be honest and open-minded and should respect other people as well.”
Mr. Boss said, “Falun Dafa, this kind of cultivation method, which is rooted in Buddhist tradition, is very peaceful. People should have the freedom to cultivate. What is important is to let people know the truth and come together to stop this persecution. This should not be happening on our beautiful planet.”
Many people signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s live organ harvesting.
