(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners from across Israel peacefully protested outside the Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv on July 20, 2025.
This year marks 26 years of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners who strive to live by Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. The CCP regime pressures practitioners to renounce their faith through campaigns of harassment, threats, arrests, torture, and even killing them for their organs.
Practitioners display banners in Hebrew, English, and Chinese during the protest to call for an end to the persecution.
An Israeli practitioner addressed the protest: “The CCP’s forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners is an unprecedented crime, a most horrifying murder and a crime against all humanity.” “It’s such an inconceivable crime that many still don’t believe it’s real — but unfortunately, there is extensive evidence confirming that it is happening, even right now.”
He pointed out that despite extremely brutal persecution, the CCP has failed to eradicate Falun Gong. Instead, the persecution has exposed the cruel nature of the regime and enabled the world to see clearly how dangerous this political power is.
The practitioners demonstrated the exercises and held a candlelight vigil in memory of the many victims of the persecution, whose number is still unknown due to the severe censorship and cover-up by the Chinese regime. Researchers who looked into the horrific practice of forced organ harvesting suggest there are millions of victims, based on the number of organ transplants in Chinese hospitals in recent years.
Practitioners demonstrated the exercises.
A candlelight vigil was held to remember practitioners who died from the persecution.
Open Letter to Staff in the Chinese Embassy
Practitioners wrote a letter to the embassy staff, which was read by a practitioner at the protest.
It was written in the letter: “We are not paid to be here — we are all here by our free choice. We are also not trying to convince you to practice Falun Gong. There is something important you need to know – Falun Gong practitioners do not set themselves on fire like the CCP lied to you in the staged self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square. Suicide is a grave sin in Falun Gong — we cherish life. And we deeply respect the Chinese people and their magnificent culture spanning thousands of years.
“Falun Gong is a genuine cultivation practice. It teaches us to live by Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, to understand the principles of the universe, and to become healthier. We do not seek political power, nor do we chase money or fame – we simply strive to be better people.”
The letter also encouraged the embassy staff to learn about the truth by searching online while they are in a free country: “Do not support the persecution, do not participate in it, and do not allow those close to you to be part of it. Because good will be rewarded, and evil meets retribution. Quickly distance yourselves from the CCP for your sake and your children’s future.”
Support from Israelis
Passersby stopped to inquire about the protest. After learning about the situation, many showed their support.
Two young men were very interested in the event. When a practitioner told them about the CCP’s persecution and the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting, they were dismayed and said it was terrible and that the CCP was very cruel.
One of them asked, “You’re standing in front of the embassy, why don’t you do something forceful? Why don’t you storm into the embassy? Why are you just standing here quietly?” The practitioner explained that the Falun Gong teachings do not advocate violence, but rather Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, which is stronger and more effective than any violence. They were deeply impressed by the practitioners’ conduct at the rally and kept asking for more information about the persecution.
A woman said that what practitioners are doing is important, considering all the evil in the world, and praised their efforts to bring the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to the world.
A man riding a bicycle approached one of the practitioners, asking for information in English. He listened intently as a practitioner told him about the persecution.
Many passersby stopped to take photos. Several people riding bicycles took the fliers that practitioners were distributing.
Raising Awareness of the Persecution to Chinese People
On July 19, practitioners went to an area in Tel Aviv where there are many Chinese people to raise awareness of the persecution. On Saturdays, which is a rest day in Israel, Chinese people come to this area to shop and meet with friends.
A group of practitioners did the exercises on the street for two hours, distributed fliers, and played videos introducing Falun Gong.
A small group of practitioners go to this place every Saturday to tell Chinese people about the persecution. Over the years, the attitude of passersby has softened: Some now smile at practitioners and say, “Falun Dafa is good,” and those who are new watch practitioners do the exercises or record videos of the practice.
