(Minghui.org) Belmore Park is very close to the Sydney Central Station and a convenient connection between the city center and the station. The park features a vast, shaded green space where people come to enjoy picnics or relax.

Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrate and teach the exercises for free in Belmore Park every Monday through Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:20 p.m., regardless of the weather. They have done this for several years.

The peaceful music and positive energy as they do the exercises draw people from all walks of life and ethnicities to stop and watch. Some take photos, others take flyers, or join in the practice. This has become a part of Belmore Park’s scenery.

Practitioners demonstrate the Falun Dafa exercises every Monday through Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. in Belmore Park.

Two young social media producers, Chris Savva and Marco Vitale, joined practitioners as they did the exercises. When a practitioner asked them why they came to the park, Chris replied, “We were traveling from Melbourne to Sydney to see a play and we were trying to book a hotel. We passed by the park and saw you practicing. The scene looked peaceful and tranquil. We also saw in the flyer you gave us explaining that practicing Falun Dafa can boost physical strength. Since I often feel tired in the mornings we were very interested in trying it out.”

After following a practitioner through the five exercises, they joined the practitioners and completed the first three sets. Both men said they felt very comfortable and expressed their gratitude to Master Li Hongzhi for introducing Falun Dafa.

There are many similar stories: A 14-year-old Malaysian Chinese girl said, “I saw how calming your exercises are, and I loved it. I wanted to give it a try.”

It was the first time she did the exercises, and she said she felt a surge of joy. She learned all five exercises with remarkable ease, performing them with precision and grace.

Passers-by Learn the Falun Dafa Exercises

A South American student said she felt a little down. She said, “After driving for two hours I decided to explore Sydney and I ended up here. I had a feeling I’d gain something extra and get some help today. After practicing the five exercises, I feel a sense of enlightenment and inner clarity.” She smiled as she said, “It’s as if I came here just to learn Falun Dafa.”

Cecila from Melbourne was born in China, was adopted by a Dutch couple and cannot speak Chinese. As an adult she and moved to Australia. When she did the Falun Dafa exercises her movements were relaxed and graceful. She explained that she’s a yoga instructor and was on vacation in Sydney with her adoptive parents, “I feel really good and happy to have the opportunity to practice Falun Dafa.”

Jeff from Italy stopped and watched practitioners do the exercises. At a practitioner’s invitation, he joined in and learned all five exercises.

Most practitioners at the Belmore Park practice site are older and retired, but many young people also join them: middle school and university students, locals from all walks of life, and tourists. They are all happy to experience the practice, which originated in China and is guided by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They said they would keep practicing after returning home.
