(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Yanduo and Ms. Lu Lifang Taken to Prison
2. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Hua Missing
3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ji Yueying Arrested
4. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Tailiang Harassed
5. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Hongyu Arrested
6. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Cuiying Placed Under Residential Surveillance
1. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Yanduo and Ms. Lu Lifang Taken to Prison
Mr. Wu Yanduo was sentenced to 5.5 years and fined 50,000 yuan in June 2025 by the Jiedong District Court. He was taken to Sihui Prison in early August 2025.
Ms. Lu Lifang was given six years in prison and fined 60,0000 yuan in the same trial. She has been taken to Guangdong Province Women’s Prison.
2. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Hua Forced to Live Away from Home
Ms. Chen Hua, in her 60s, has been forced to live away from home since late April 2025. Prior to that, she was repeatedly harassed by the local police at home. Her family hasn’t heard from her and they are worried about her safety.
3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ji Yueying Arrested
Ms. Ji Yueying was followed by plainclothes officers while talking to people about Falun Gong in a supermarket on July 24, 2025. She was arrested shortly after and taken to Jimo Road Police Station. Two locals that she talked to were also arrested and released hours later.
The police searched Ms. Ji’s home and took her to Pudong Detention Center. She was released on bail on July 30.
4. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Tailiang Harassed
Mr. Zhang Tailiang was harassed at home by two officers from Yongyang Town Police Station on August 1, 2025. They harassed him and took pictures of him.
5. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Hongyu Arrested
Five police officers broke into Ms. Wang Hongyu’s home on the morning of July 17, 2025, and ransacked the place. They confiscated an audio player and other items. Ms. Wang was taken to Yantai City for a medical exam and then admitted to Yantai City Detention Center for 15-day criminal detention. She was released on August 1.
6. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Cuiying Placed Under Residential Surveillance
Ms. Han Cuiying was put under two weeks of residential surveillance after she was released from the Yantai City Detention Center on July 31, 2025.
