(Minghui.org) Senator Lonnie M. Randolph of Indiana wrote to a local Falun Dafa practitioner on July 29, 2025, expressing his support for calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

The letter reads, “Shen Yun was founded by the practitioners of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong), a spiritual practice consisting of meditation, moral teachings and exercises.
“Falun Dafa Day was recognized in the State of Indiana on May 13, 2015 by Executive Order by our then Governor of the State of Indiana, Mike Pence, who in 2016 went on to become our Vice President of the United States under current president, Donald Trump.
“Our former congressman of the 1st Congressional District of Indiana, Peter Visclosky, co-sponsored House Resolution 343 on August 18, 2015, which condemns the practice of state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting in the People's Republic of China, which has been ongoing for the past 26 years.
“The resolution also condemns the persecution of the Falun Gong spiritual practice and demands the immediate release of all Falun Gong practitioner prisoners.
“Falun Gong is a belief and practice that supports truthfulness, compassion and forbearance. It is because of these reasons, I fully support any and all current and future events calling for the elimination of the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party of Falun Gong.”
