(Minghui.org) In 2012, a miraculous thing happened at our exercise site on Umyeon Mountain in Seoul, South Korea. I want to share the story to validate the wonder of Dafa.
Initially, there were only one or two practitioners at this site. Later, more than ten people practiced every day, and one or two new practitioners joined every week. Many people originally came to hike, but were attracted by the melodious exercise music and graceful movements, and unknowingly followed suit. Some people felt that the exercises were effective, so they reduced their hike and switched to practicing the exercises instead.
Falun Gong does not charge any money or ask for anything in return. At first, some people were skeptical, but after practicing, they would smile and express their gratitude. Many people say that the fresh air, the sound of the wind, the birds singing, the flowing water, and the Falun Gong music all blend together to create a wonderful experience.
We started practicing before dawn. Although there were streetlights on the mountain trail, they were not very bright. At that time, I thought that if it were a little brighter, people would feel more at ease. A few days later, work began on the streetlights, and when it was finished, about 200 meters of the mountain trail were as bright as daytime.
The exercise site was overgrown with weeds and rather narrow. By June, a locust tree had slowly grown tall next to where I practiced, and my hands would often brush against its branches. I tried to avoid it, but the space was too small, and it was difficult to move out of the way.
I thought to myself, “This tree must not obstruct my practice to save sentient beings. What should I do? I cannot break it, for a tree is also a living being, and this is its home. As a practitioner, I should cultivate compassion!”
I tried to push the branches aside, but they sprang back into place. I also considered moving it to another location, but there was no suitable spot, and the new practitioners who were just starting their practice needed to observe my movements, so I couldn’t move it arbitrarily. I looked at the locust tree and thought, “Hey, you must also find this cultivation music pleasant, right? I don’t want to harm you.”
The next morning, when I arrived at the exercise site, I was shocked by what I saw: the ivy that had been growing around the pine tree had wrapped itself around the branches of the locust tree and pulled it to the other side. Those thin vines had somehow managed to do this, which was truly unbelievable. Even more amazing was that this change had occurred in just one day.
And just like that, my hands were no longer blocked by branches when I practiced. I was filled with gratitude and sent a thought to the locust tree and the ivy: “Thank you for your hard work. I really appreciate it. You will surely receive great blessings in your next life.”
Another time, a new practitioner’s celestial eye opened. He said he saw exotic flowers and plants, not seen in this world, blooming around the practice site and in the mountains, as well as strange creatures. He also said that while meditating, he saw himself transformed into a stone Buddha statue. We thought it was quite amazing.
Later, I moved away and left the place for eight years. About two years ago, I reestablished the practice site here again, and together with several nearby practitioners, we practice and promote Falun Gong on weekends and on holidays.
Later, construction work on a mountain trail suddenly began there, and the exercise site was suspended for two months. After the construction was completed, we had to move the exercise site slightly. Due to the uneven ground after the construction, we needed tools to level it, but we couldn’t borrow any tools at the time.
The next day, while we were practicing, the workers responsible for repairing the mountain trail happened to pass by and casually left their shovels and pickaxes at our practice site. I thought to myself, “This must be Master seeing our determination to continue practicing and sending ordinary people to help us!”
Even more amazingly, something similar to what happened in 2012 occurred again. By June, the locust trees in the mountains began to grow taller, and their branches soon obstructed our exercise movements. Unlike other trees, locust trees have thorns, and one could easily get pricked by them, causing significant pain. So I contemplated moving to a different location. However, recalling my previous experience, I decided to wait a little longer.
A week later, on Saturday, I returned to the practice site and was once again utterly astonished. The miracle that had occurred earlier had repeated itself. This time, however, it wasn’t ivy but kudzu. The vines had snaked their way up the locust tree’s trunk from its base. At the center, they reversed course, pulling the branch to the side and wrapping around a neighboring locust tree. The entire branch was pulled out by approximately fifty centimeters, creating the space needed for the exercise. (Normally, vines would continue winding their way up to the top of the tree.)
In addition, two small branches also miraculously bent and grew to the sides to make room. It was truly amazing. I thought perhaps Master saw our steadfast determination to practice the exercises and save sentient beings and used the plants to show encouragement. Or perhaps the plants, listening to the exercise music, sensed our intentions and proactively fulfilled their mission.
