(Minghui.org) One of the largest state fairs in the US, the Minnesota State Fair draws nearly two millions visitors each year. This year’s fair was held August 21-September 1, 2025. Falun Dafa practitioners took the opportunity to distribute flyers and raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) transnational repression in the United States.
People from all walks of life and backgrounds were very receptive to the information presented, and many shared their thoughts and opinions.
One man who received a flyer said firmly, “I will read this flyer carefully and help stop them [the CCP]!” Another man exclaimed, “We will take action!” A young man said, “This is truly important! Everyone who loves this country should take a flyer.”
After hearing about Falun Dafa practitioners’ efforts to stop the CCP’s transnational repression in the United States, several people sought out practitioners to get flyers. Some shouted, “We hate the CCP!” One man said, “The CCP only causes trouble. Get them out.”
People Are Aware of the CCP’s Persecution
Many people mentioned that they were already aware of the CCP’s propaganda campaign in the US, describing it as “a mess.” One woman said she knew that the CCP was purchasing American land, and said it was a national security issue. She took a flyer and said she would pass it on to others who need to hear this information. Another person pointed out, “Everything is made in China.” A practitioner then explained that the CCP not only controls the economy but also how people live, depriving them of freedom of speech and belief.
A young man familiar with independent media said, “I watch China Uncensored, and I understand all this.” He then told his friends about the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. Others expressed concern about the social media app TikTok, noting that the CCP and its agents are spreading incomplete information or lies on the platform, and misleading the public.
International Perspective and Personal Experience
One man described his travel experience in South America and said he witnessed the CCP’s big impact there. He was worried that a similar situation might occur in the US.
Another man who visited Shanghai and Hangzhou in China asked, “Are you practicing Falun Gong?” He gave a thumbs up after getting confirmation, “I support Falun Gong.” Then he took a flyer and said, “Nice to see you. I will read this carefully.”
A Chinese woman took a flyer and told her friends, “This is very good. You should take a look.” They also took flyers.
A Chinese-American explained that his parents fled to Hong Kong in the 1930s and later immigrated to the US. He said, “The CCP is bad!” An American described how his Tibetan friend fled China and came to the US. Otherwise, he would have been persecuted to death.
Shen Yun Performance Is Superb
One of a group young men asked, “What is Shen Yun? Is it good or bad?” After learning that the mission of Shen Yun is to revive the essence of the five thousand years of traditional Chinese culture and that the CCP is against humanity, they said they would watch Shen Yun.
A Chinese-American who criticized the CCP said, “Someone told me that Shen Yun is superb.” When he was told that Shen Yun would perform in the area, he was delighted.
