(Minghui.org) I’m a retired elementary school teacher who began cultivating in Dafa in 1998. I suffered from many diseases before stepping into cultivation practice, but I recovered from all of them. I would like to share my experiences of validating Dafa to save sentient beings while working as a language teacher.
I was like the practitioners described in Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Dafa, who went to work early, left late at night, and were never choosy about the tasks they were assigned.
I arrived at school early every day. I fetched hot water from the kitchen and prepared it for the teachers. I also greeted the children as they arrived and helped them clean the classroom and the schoolyard. I never accepted any money or gifts that the parents tried to give me. I also often used my after-school time to tutor students, and never charged their families anything.
The school wanted to offer a salary increase before I retired, and I was one of two qualified teachers. The other teacher asked if I would apply, and I ended up telling her to go ahead. She received the promotion.
Clarifying the Truth to Students and Parents
I once took over a new class with a student who missed a lot of days when the semester started. The previous room teacher told me that he was a problem student who didn’t like going to school. His parents had tried everything but were unable to change his attitude. He would hide whenever a teacher tried to visit.
Once I understood what was going on, I took extra care of him. I clarified the truth about Dafa to him and helped him withdraw from the Young Pioneers. I also asked him to remember the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” Gradually, he began to like school, and even received good grades at the end of the semester. His parents exclaimed, “Teacher, you’re amazing! How did you manage that?” I said I told him the truth about Falun Dafa, and he changed for the better. The parents didn’t object.
During a home visit, I found out that his mother was in poor health and recuperating at home. I asked her to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” I told her Falun Dafa is the Buddha Law, and that the propaganda on television and in the newspapers was all fake. I then mentioned that the “Tiananmen self-immolation” incident was staged. I also explained why it was important to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
Another student’s family was very poor, and his father was recuperating at home after a work-related injury. I clarified the truth to him, as well as the student’s grandmother. They were very receptive and agreed to withdraw from the Youth League and Young Pioneers.
I later learned that this parent was a relative of a fellow practitioner. The practitioner had clarified the truth to his family many times, but was unsuccessful. I spoke to them extensively, explaining the CCP’s tyranny and how Falun Dafa is a virtuous practice which teaches that good deeds will be rewarded and evil deeds will incur retribution. They were kind people who readily accepted the truth and thanked me repeatedly.
Clarifying the Truth to Colleagues
When the school gave us uniforms, a new colleague and I shared the same size. But only one of that size was available, which I was entitled to. As I entered the office, however, she exclaimed “It’s mine!” Since I’m a practitioner, I calmly said, “You can have it.”
At the beginning of the semester, I voluntarily helped her clean the classroom and hang curtains. She soon let down her guard and began sharing her thoughts. So when I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to her, she was receptive and even marveled at the number of people practicing Falun Dafa.
She later fainted at home and was found to have a brain tumor. After she underwent surgery, I visited her at the hospital. She was still unconscious, so I clarified the truth to her husband. She gradually recovered and regained consciousness. I visited her again at home and asked her to quit the CCP organizations and recite “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She thanked me and offered me a pumpkin she had grown.
I often share articles about the mystical hidden character stone in Pingtang (Guizhou Province) that is naturally engraved with “The CCP will perish.” I also show teachers images of Udumbara flowers and explain that only by withdrawing from the Party and its organizations can one erase the Mark of the Beast and receive blessings.
I tell them that Falun Dafa cultivates Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and has spread to over 100 countries, and that Zhuan Falun has been translated into 50 languages. I asked my colleagues to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion,-Forbearance is good!” to avert danger. In this way, they gradually understood the truth and withdrew from the CCP.
My supervisor found out about my talking to colleagues about Dafa and ordered a substitute teacher to report me, threatening to fire her if she didn’t. The substitute teacher already knew the truth. She believed in retribution and told the supervisor, “I won’t do such a thing. If you fire me, I’ll apply to other schools.” She indeed got a teaching position at another school the next semester. She greeted me warmly whenever I ran into her in public.
A female colleague was pregnant with her second child. A hospital checkup revealed placental abruption. The doctor said that she could miscarry and told her to stay home and rest for a week. When I heard what happened, I told her to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” and the baby would be fine. I also helped her withdraw from the CCP. The baby was safe, and she gave birth to a healthy girl.
Getting Rid of Slanderous Posters and Pamphlets
The authorities once distributed some posters that slandered Dafa, and the political director posted them on campus. I thought that we couldn’t let them harm people, so I went to the director to clarify the truth. The director said, “I can’t make the decision. Please speak to the principal.”
I then approached the principal and explained that Falun Dafa is the Buddha Law that cultivates Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and saves lives, and that displaying these posters on campus would lead to negative consequences for both teachers and students. I also mentioned that the “Tiananmen self-immolation” incident broadcast on TV was staged. The principal said the posters were mandated by higher authorities, and he could not remove them right away. He said we should wait for a few days.
I sent forth righteous thoughts, calling for a strong wind to blow the posters down. Strong winds indeed arose, and one of the posters came loose. Someone then tore it down and left it on the ground. After school, when no one was around, I tore down the other two and threw them away.
As the holiday approached, the higher-ups distributed some pamphlets that slandered Dafa. I went to the principal again, saying, “Falun Dafa is the Buddha Law, and distributing these things will harm the students.” He replied that he had to follow orders. I later saw him storing the pamphlets in his office. So I disposed of them when no one was around.
During the holiday, the school gave the students a “Safety Responsibility Letter” for their parents to sign. The room teachers were also asked to sign a document. One of the clauses slandered Dafa under the guise of promoting science. I went to the director, and he said the template was handed down from higher-ups, and it required the principal’s approval to make any changes.
I went to the principal again. He said that some of the letters had already been distributed, and it would be difficult to recall them. I replied, “Then cancel those for my class. I can’t let people sign them and be harmed.” He agreed in the end, and I got the director to modify the template.
The above are some of my experiences validating Dafa and saving sentient beings. For over 20 years, I’ve diligently followed Master’s teachings and done what a Dafa disciple should do. But I still lag far behind other diligent practitioners. I understand that every step on the path of cultivation is inseparable from Master’s protection. Thank you, Master!
