(Minghui.org) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who began practicing in May 1998. Before the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in Wenchuan county, Uḍumbara flowers (a sacred flower from the Buddhas’ realms that blooms every 3,000 years) bloomed on my palm tree, as well as both inside and outside my ceramic jars. I am so fortunate!
My family runs a general store, and just before the earthquake, I had received a shipment of fragile goods. When the earthquake struck, I held Master’s portrait and Dafa books in my arms, chanting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” as I ran outside. The scene during the earthquake was terrifying: houses were shaking violently, and tiles were constantly falling from the roofs.
When the earthquake stopped, I rushed back inside. To my surprise, not a single ceramic jar had fallen from the three-tiered stack! A milk delivery boy who had entered exclaimed in astonishment three times, “Strange! Not a single jar fell!”
The goods in the shops along the street had all been damaged by the quake; the street was a scene of devastation. Tears welled up in my eyes as I felt deep gratitude for Master’s protection!
My friends and relatives all called to ask about any damage to my property from the earthquake. I told them, “Not a single tile fell off my house! All the jars, pots, and every item in my shop are perfectly intact!” I explained, “Because I practice Falun Dafa, I have my Master’s protection! I have the protection of Dafa!” Even those who didn’t believe the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa witnessed the wonder of it.
Everyone in town knew that I practiced Falun Dafa, yet my shop—full of fragile goods—remained completely undamaged during the massive earthquake! This miracle has sparked lively conversations among residents ever since!
Once, a police chief visited my shop to buy a medicine pot. I shared the truth about Falun Dafa with him, and he responded, “You dare to tell me these things? I’ll have you arrested!” Then, he proceeded to describe how he had arrested Falun Dafa practitioners and confiscated and burned their books. After listening, I told him directly, “No matter how high your rank or how much money you have, it’s all useless. Health and safety are the most important things in life.”
I recounted the tragic scenes I witnessed during the earthquake and explained that Falun Dafa is a profound Buddhist practice. I shared stories about the miraculous effects of Falun Dafa on health and well-being, and emphasized how withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brings safety. I described how my family and business were protected by Dafa during the earthquake.
He suddenly understood and was filled with deep regret! He said, “The Communist Party has caused me so much suffering. I’ve built so much karma! What should I do?” I comforted him, saying, “Our Master is compassionate. As long as you sincerely repent, treat Dafa disciples kindly, and withdraw from the CCP and related organizations, you will be saved.”
He hurriedly replied, “I’ll withdraw!” I said, “I’ll use an alias for your withdrawal.” He insisted, “No! I must withdraw under my real name—I am so and so.” With tears of emotion welling in his eyes, he told me, “Sister, thank you for telling me all this today. You helped me!” I replied, “It is our Master who saved you!”
He was at my shop for less than an hour, and when he left, he seemed like a completely different person! I also shed tears, thanking Master for his compassion! As he was leaving, he asked, “Sister, could you sell me a Falun Dafa book?” I replied, “Falun Dafa books are very precious; not everyone can obtain them. I can give you a Falun Dafa book, but you must cherish it. You should wash your hands before reading and studying the book, and this precious book should be placed in a clean, elevated place.”
Later, this police chief brought all his relatives to my shop to undergo the “three withdrawals” (renouncing membership in the CCP, the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers), and they were all saved! They often return to obtain truth-clarifying materials.
Thank you, Master, for your compassionate salvation!
