(Minghui.org) The Harbin City Intermediate Court in Heilongjiang Province ruled to uphold the 4.5-year prison sentence of a local man for his faith in Falun Gong, Minghui.org learned recently.
Mr. Yin Hongwei was arrested on December 19, 2024. His daughter, Ms. Yin Li, was seized at their shared residence on the day, also for practicing Falun Gong. The father and daughter were both convicted by the Daowai District Court in December 2025, with Mr. Yin given 4.5 years and Ms. Yin one year.
Ms. Yin finished serving time on December 18, 2025. It is unclear if her father has been admitted to prison after losing his appeal. Her mother, Ms. Zhou Chunling, is serving a three-year term at the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison, for sharing the same faith. Ms. Zhou’s term is set to end in November 2026. She was previously jailed for ten years between 2002 and 2012.
