(Minghui.org) The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) persecution of Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) has been ongoing for 26 years. During that time, I have endured harassment, detention, forced labor, displacement, and loss of employment. The CCP’s strategy for persecuting Falun Gong is, “Destroy their reputation, ruin them financially, and eliminate them physically.” Surviving their high-pressure tactics is extremely difficult.
During the persecution, our family of three lived in constant turmoil. I am a practitioner, but my husband and son are not. Nevertheless, they have unwavering faith in Master and Dafa. No matter how difficult life became, they have never complained.
I believe we are all destined to obtain the Fa—I simply received it first. My family has endured so much, and I would like to share a few stories of our life.
When I first heard about Falun Gong in the autumn of 1997, I felt an indescribable joy in my heart. I began practicing the exercises and studying the Fa every day. My life became filled with peace and contentment.
But everything dramatically changed when the CCP suddenly launched its persecution in July 1999. Although I wasn’t mentally prepared for it, one thought remained firmly in my heart—cultivating Falun Dafa is the right thing to do, and choosing Dafa is something I will never regret.
My Husband Was Always By My Side
The local police frequently came to our home to harass me, trying to force me to give up my belief. To avoid arrest, we had to leave home and rent a small apartment on the outskirts of the city. My husband was also implicated; he dared not return to his company and instead found work as a truck driver.
It was a small business with very low pay. My husband is diligent, capable, and skilled in his work, and is also humble and kind. Although he doesn’t practice Dafa, he lives by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. He often told himself, “As a family member of a practitioner, I must never disgrace the Fa.”
He worked tirelessly, leaving home early and returning late. He helped expand the company’s client base, managed the inventory, and kept meticulous records, greatly reducing the stress on the owner and strengthening his confidence in the business.
We lived like this for several months, until I had sufficiently increased my righteous thoughts through daily Fa study. One night, I told my husband, “Let’s go home.” He asked, “Are you sure?” I replied, “Yes! Master has strengthened my righteous thoughts.”
The next day, my husband explained our true situation to the business owner, saying, “My wife is targeted because she practices Falun Gong. To avoid being arrested, we couldn’t stay in our home or keep our jobs. Now we’ve come to terms with it. No matter how difficult the future may be, we will face it. We want to start a new life.”
The owner listened and was deeply moved. He gained a new understanding of Falun Dafa that day and expressed his desire to be our friend, hoping we would have a better life.
My Son’s Righteous Thoughts
That year, during the wave of lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, I also filed a lawsuit. The police swarmed in and took me away. My son immediately ran to Master’s portrait and pleaded, “Master, please save my mother! Don’t let the tragedy of six years ago repeat itself.”
Six years earlier, I had been illegally sent to a labor camp for refusing to giving up my belief. My son was terrified. He kept pleading with Master, and told local practitioners about my arrest. Many practitioners were detained that day, and practitioners collectively sent forth righteous thoughts.
When the police sent me to a detention center, I developed symptoms of high blood pressure, and the detention center refused to accept me, so I was released and returned home late that night. My son was overjoyed and told me everything he had done. At that critical moment, his first thought had been of Master. What a pure and wonderful heart!
I study the Fa and practice the exercises every day, following the Fa’s requirements. My body and mind are undergoing transformation, my thoughts are elevating, and I have come to understand the purpose of life and the meaning of existence. While doing the three things, I am maturing as a practitioner. Though fear sometimes lingers, and fame, gain, and affection occasionally tug at my heart, my path of cultivation has become clearer. I firmly believe in Master and in the Fa, and am truly embarking on the path of return.
“Let’s Go Home and Thank Master”
Despite the CCP’s evil rule, and although the lives of Dafa disciples are filled with hardships that would be incomprehensible to ordinary people, under Master’s protection and through genuine cultivation, the environment is changing.
Though my husband does not practice Falun Dafa, he understands the truth and believes in Master and the Fa. He strives to be a good person, works hard, and is always willing to help others. Master has continuously blessed him, arranging opportunities to help him overcome adversity.
When I was illegally detained in a labor camp, my husband lost his job. He had to raise our son, earn a living, and worry about my safety. Back then, he often couldn’t sleep, and each day felt like a year. Yet he never complained. When I was released, he didn’t utter a single word of reproach.
By what seemed like chance, he later got a job. Many people said that getting such a position usually required over 200,000 yuan in bribes, yet he didn’t spend a single penny. Our family moved from a small home to a larger one, and last year he bought a car.
I still remember that night. I was waiting by the side of the road, as snowflakes drifted through the air. It was late, and no cars passed. A bright beam of light suddenly swept toward me. It was my husband, driving his new car. He jumped out, wrapped his arm around me, and said excitedly, “This is the car I love, honey. Let me take you for a drive!” Tears welled up in my eyes. I knew Master was once again encouraging and rewarding him. I asked, “Do you know what I’m thinking?” He replied, “Yes, I know. Let’s go home and thank Master.”
These are just two short stories about our family. We are all lives who came for the Fa, all cherished by Master. I simply obtained the Fa first, while my husband and child are just a step away. All are under Master’s compassionate protection! Here, we express our deepest gratitude to Master. Through our family’s experiences, we have come to understand that Master has arranged everything for all beings. As long as one holds righteous thoughts toward the Dafa, one can fulfill the vows made in past lives, embark on the path of return, and complete one’s mission!
